Dimensions of the box fill the entire bed...you may want to think about tires below the box so you dont crush the frame and such...then again I am paranoid
Does the box fill the height of the bed as well as the length and width?

Get a buyer in NC for the tires lined up on CL or FB and dump em before heading home
That’s a really good call, but I feel like the Overland take-off tires won’t be in as much demand as the Rubicon ones.

When delivery time gets close, I’ll try posting in the member marketplace for a buyer near Tri-City.

Otherwise, I may just hold onto them until I’m confident I like the 285/75R18’s.

I got the dual top. Is it safe to assume I could still strap down the 5 OE tires on top of the box in the bed (not sure the dimensions of the box)?
Here is what one looks like in the back of the JT from the factory

How sturdy is the cardboard box? I'm assuming not very...

Maybe I should find a cargo net that attaches to the trail rails and/or make a platform/frame to go around the cardboard box.

Or maybe just ship a Diamondback SE to the dealership ;)

I think so. May be hard to get to the tie downs. The crate literally fills the bed.

It is thick cardboard but I would Plywood rating the truck out of the box by putting a thin sheet for structure on top of the box and thentie the load on top of that...

that is true it fills the bed but you can access the tie downs in the bed just have to lower the hook end to the loop...

I'm pretty sure that when you order the dual top option you are required to order the tonneau cover as well. You should be able to roll that back and put your 4 stock tires in first, 2+2 stacked one on top of the other side by side and then sit the box with your soft top on top of the stacked tires and use ratchet straps to secure the box. Did you get the trail rail system? If so, those cleats will be perfect to hook your ratchet straps on.

I did get the trail rail system.

The width between the wheel humps is only 44.8ā€, so I wouldn’t be able the have them side-by-side at the cab end of the bed.

The tires being 32.1ā€x10ā€, I should be able to fit four of them in 2x2 stacks with a slight offset in the 60ā€ bed, though that would put the tops of the tires two or three inches above the bed rail and the box wouldn’t be evenly supported. I don’t think I’d be totally comfortable with that setup—even with the ratchet straps.

I might lean more towards a plywood sheet on top of the box and ratchet the tires vertically on top of that behind the cab. Though, with 200lbs of tires to haul, I might build that sheet into a little ā€œcoffee tableā€ to offset that weight to the bed with ā€œlegsā€ā€”maybe a simple 2x4 frame.

Stand that box up against the cab. Will probably be 2' taller then cab but does that matter? Then tires behind it. Dont think box will go anywhere with the tires holding it up.

For some reason I thought the box would be about a 1/3 of that! Does anyone know how heavy it is? I don't need actual weight, but how hard it is to get out of the truck and maneuver around?

Since it's fall I was just going to leave the soft top in the box until next spring...

What if you stood the box up on it's side on the drivers side of the bed and stood the tires up 2 x 2 on the passenger side? Or box in the middle with 2 tires on each side? Whichever configuration makes it easier to strap down.

This sounds like a good idea to me. I can still use the bed tie downs and trail rail cleats to secure the payload horizontally and vertically.
