One thing I noticed or did not see was weapon racks for individual weapons, plus the center console will not stand up to the abusive military use for the environment. Looks good but it will need a lot of striping out of the goodies to make it a true military use vehicle. Plus I did not see provisions for black out drive, military radios are 24 volt systems, no slave cable ports, a military requirement. I agree it looks good but it is made for us poor saps to drool over, spend our money on our toys. A great looking piece of gear and I like it but I am keeping a tight grip on my wallet for now till I see what the price and real world use this truck would be.

Ok 3 different doorless mirrors shown, A, B & C. I like A and B. Would prefer the B mirror on the A mount. Attn: @JeepCares you are reading these posts, right? Make it happen!!!

Good catch. C would be great for towing. B was what I was originally looking at and would be great for year round doors on or off

C is what we have on HMVEEs it an army common item, I’ve broken a few in the last 25 years. The one at the actual show looks like it’s CARC paint (Chemical Agent Resistant Coating) I could see SOF looking at these since they can probably drive in and out of a Osprey or Chinook.

I was thinking on Thursday that the profile of the Gladiator reminds me of the old Land Rover RSOVs the rangers used to use that’s kind of where I think I’m going to go with mine.

Anyone figure out the title sizes they used? The rims are usually kits a split wheel and not necessarily a bead lock so we can change them in the field without a tire machine, and I’ve only seen steel because you can beat them back in shape if you bend a lip too bad.

I know the seats look cool but they look like the have plate cutouts in the backs so unless you are wearing armor they might feel a bit wonky

A setup like the J8 patrol vehicle would be nice

Something to consider for future use is the fact that while the forces do have gas vehicles the majority of deployed vehicles are diesel so that would hopefully put the diesel out there for some torture testing. It's no secret the Humvee is my childhood crush but would love to see a jeep deployed again in the new century.

I wanted Gobi, but did not want to wait. This looks so cool.

IDK. but they look HEAVY. The problem with most designs like them. I always like the look, but just too much metal there. Non beadlock too.
These look like Hutchinson wheels to me- heavy, for sure. Also, notice that some of the pictures show an 8-lug hub. It will be interesting what parts get upgraded underneath, and what can eventually be had as a well engineered replacement part. Remember the J8? Entirely different, heavier frame, D60 leaf sprung rear axle, higher GVW...
