They would have to totally recertify it for every little thing -
Crash testing, of all types, evaporative emissions, engine bay changes as well as other structural changes, it's not as simple as drop it in and sell it.
If they move a single fan in these, they have to document it and submit it all to the EPA.

I suspect it would fit - maybe.......... but there's a lot of hoops to jump through.

What's the length of the TJ rear of radiator to firewall?? (vs. the JT)
I'm away for the weekend but will measure it as soon as I get home.

I could buy me a new hood and have a Dark Sky?

IMG_4134.jpeg
Cowl, too, since the hood sits differently.

I will say one thing - the Mojave hood makes the bugs hit the windshield higher than other models of the JT.

They could definitely work on the road handling. The problem is not entirely solid axle vs IFS or recirculating ball steering vs rack and pinion. The suspension either has a geometry problem and/or is unbalanced/mistuned and the factory steering gear (even the steel one) is crap. I've been throwing money at my JT to get it to handle and steer properly, or at least acceptably. Mopar long control arms, toe-in close to 0 degrees, Bilstein shocks, stiffer rear coils, Falcon steering stabilizer, and, most recently, a PSC steering gear. I'm not sure I'm done yet but it is so much more enjoyable to drive now. The PSC gear in particular made a big difference. It has no play in it, no dead spot. It is an excellent (but pricy) upgrade that makes a world of difference.

On the positive side for the JT, when I was looking in 2023, it was the only small truck I found with an adult-sized (or teen-sized) backseat area, with headroom and legroom. All others were suitable only for young kids or short kids with no legs. None but the JT had adult-sized (or teen-sized) headroom.
What year is your Gladiator? If it’s a 2020 with the orignal steering gear, replacing it makes a world of difference. Best free upgrade I ever had!

2023. Steel gear.

I am very happy with the PSC gear. It is very expensive as just a drop-in replacement (not using the hydraulic assist it was made for) but I figured I'd probably end up installing several new OEM or rebuilt gears, not be happy with any of them, and it costing me the same amount or more. Been there and done that with a Ram truck so I cut to the chase this time.

Dear Jeep: please Stop farting around with ‘packages’ & just put a V8 in the Gladiator at a reasonable price, else the JT will be doomed.

I should have kept the rails off my JTMX!
Instead - to keep from having to store them and move them around in the garage and take them upstairs, I GAVE THEM AWAY.
Brand new from a 2025 Mojave X.
Didn't figure there was any sort of market and no way was I going to deal with "will you ship it" questions. They are gone. Out of my hair.

The rock rails I put on my Sport S pictured above came from a local Craigslist post that was a year old. They were thrilled to get the $100, which beats the crap out of the factory price.

Jeep® Gladiator Dark Sky Revealed With Imposing Looks, Impressive Value
  • Gladiator Dark Sky brings premium, aggressive appearance to industry’s only open-air pickup truck
  • Dark Sky expands lineup of special-edition Gladiators, creating more customer choice
May 21, 2025 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Jeep® Gladiator, the industry’s only open-air pickup truck, adds increased value bundled with signature Jeep capability with the new Dark Sky edition. As the Jeep brand – recognized as America's most patriotic brand for the 24th consecutive year – continues to deliver more customer choice, Gladiator Dark Sky is uniquely positioned within the nameplate lineup and within the segment.

Gladiator Dark Sky, based on the Sport S trim, bundles popular features into one package. These include:
  • A performance hood to evoke the Desert-rated Mojave styling
  • Body-color fender flares
  • Gloss black bumper inserts
  • Dark-colored badges and decals
For the first time, the Gladiator Dark Sky also provides customers with the ability to equip an optional body-color, hardtop roof for the Sport S trim.

The additional standard equipment comes bundled at an MSRP of $1,495, amplifying the value of Gladiator Dark Sky compared to adding the features separately. Additional standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Uconnect 5, Jeep’s suite of active safety equipment, including adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning, and a premium, wrapped steering wheel.

Customers may also option the comforts and adventure-focused features most important to them in their own Gladiator Dark Sky.
Gladiator Dark Sky boasts the capability to handle the daily grind around town and tasks off the beaten path. With Gladiator’s heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles, with front axle disconnect, transmission and transfer case skid plates, plus 10 inches of standard ground clearance, the Dark Sky is as much at home on the trails as it is towing and hauling. Gladiator offers an unmatched, available 7,700 max tow rating in the segment and best-in-class 4x4 payload of 1,725 pounds.

Orders for the Gladiator Dark Sky are now open.

what a bunch of morrons they have running the Jeep company. So much potential in motor options in the Dodge ,Ram lineup. And a whole slew of current customers who are very much returning customers with wish lists for OEM upgrades. And the morrons in charge offer cosmetic options. We can get most of this shit at either auto zone or Walmart for fucks sake. I would even throw Target in as alternative to buying what Jeep is selling here.

I’m afraid I agree with others that have stated the sales of the Gladiator won’t support too many engine changes. Maybe that is why they discontinued the diesel option.
They sold 42K last year though? Is that a lot in the automotive world? I guess not when compared to the 192K Toyota Tacoma sales of last year. Chevrolet sold 98K Colorados last year.
So the Gladiator is basically keeping a few thousand people employed but not generating interest to try to grow that market?

I remember seeing a Nissan Frontier in Italy. After seeing local cars for a couple weeks that thing looked HUGE! Lol I had a good chuckle over that. So Gladiators have to be a very rare purchase in Europe. I’ll have to look up sales figures. I have seen only one or two Wranglers during visits.
Oh shoot! It says it was withdrawn from the European markets at end of 2023.
