I like the color tops and grills options these editions are doing. It is a good sign forward. The wrangler version gets the whole steel bumper treament( possibly another FU to us, I lost count). Interior is really nice and gives me hope for the future options, But man why is it only Rubicons and Willy's trims getting all the love? Sport S with max tow has not recieved any special/limited edition love yet. I am not happy about that. In the press releases they continue to use the whole max towing and payload numbers. " Gladiator Sarge blends rugged off-road capability, best-in-class approach angle and unsurpassed departure angle, with a distinctive, military-inspired aesthetic to go along with an unsurpassed 7,700-lb towing capacity, and a maximum payload of 1,720 lbs." False information but yet for every release they use this same statement. Then people are shocked when they pick up a willy's with 870lbs of payload. No beuno Jeep you can do better

As a non-veteran I agree completely. I love the looks but both out of respect for those who served and not wanting to cross paths with a grizzled vet with a chip on his shoulder who thinks I'm posing, I'd pass.

That interior is sharp.
I give Jeep credit in this department. AS for what people think i would not pay any mind to be honest. The vets will be most likely honored as we salute them and not just a few days a year. Also in truth its your money so a vet or not people can kick rocks if they don't like it or think your posing.

It sounds like this specific one as a Willys version IS a Max Tow?

Steel bumpers should be stock, you're correct.

With regards to posing, for me it's a rule.

They’re nice looking, but why is white an option? That Wrangler commando had white wheels too. Am I missing something and white is actually somehow related to military inspired trims?

It seems like a missed opportunity to bring back Gobi and use it instead of the white.

Other than that, I love the interior.

Does this new package come with "purpose built" cams and lifters that are "mission ready" to last more than 50-100k miles and "engineered" to meet stringent specs that are required for reliable modern engines?

Maybe call it the "Bespoke" package like Samsung did after selling a bunch of shitty washers and dryers.

agree with the Gobi. They missed the boat on '41 willy's edition by not having the gobi tops. stupid and another FU from the overlords to us Gladiator owners

Who designs at Jeep. I thought only kindergarten kids played with colors and stickers. Give me a break. copy paste. Rinse repeat. Still no V8. They give you one powertrain option, then dazzle you with colors and stickers. How exciting. Hold my checkbook.

I guess if you want powertrain/suspension options you have to go with Ram. I've lost count how many new packages they are rolling out, making Jeep look pretty lame tbh.

It would be nice if they did but i doubt it. Willy's is a fanstatic trim do not get me wrong and got even better since 2024.The Gladiator willy's should have already been upgraded like the wrangler willy's with 4:10 gears and 33inch tires from factory.

Agree- the Willys should have 33's and 4.10's AND the wide track axles. It would be the perfect starting point for a build.

What I'm most surprised about looking at specs is the Max Tow isn't available on a Willys. Granted, the site could be (probably) wrong but the Sahara is the only one in spec comparison that shows 7700lb towing capacity but also doesn't show the wide track axle available either.

IDK why they continue to use that same statement for years. It is deceptive and one of the reasons why people included the salesmen never knew what the hell they was talking in regards to specs & capablilities. Sahara trim i would have to look into that i remember when it was being re-introduce early reports said it was suppose to have the max tow option.

It's not for everyone. I'm not a fan of the interior I don't think I'd like a tan dash. Think I'll show a lot of dirt easy. I don't know about the green seats I think people will get tired of it after a while. But the tan seats with the tan dash is too much in my opinion, but they'll be people that love it and will buy it. Man 2027's coming out It's making my Jeep that much older being a 2018. I got low miles on mine because I'm retired so I don't put that many miles on it a year. When you're retired If you go somewhere you're spending money., and then if you're on a fixed income being retired It makes it a little bit harder considering it's the first time I've ever been on fixed income. After working for a major airline for 34 years we had overtime everyday if you wanted it and days off so I don't drive much That's why I only have 48,000 mi on it and it's a 2018 it's all play miles no driving to work miles
