What are the odds that gator will be on lots by the middle of December?? My dealer just had 2 blue delivered today. I really want to see gator in person, since it was my first choice, before I buy/order.

Since they will be starting to build them next week it's possible. A build only takes less than a day and however long delivery takes. The problem is if your dealer does not order any or allocated for any gators then the probability is very low. Really depends on your dealer.

Placed order for my Sport S Gator on 9/25 in Southeastern PA.

Called Jeep Chat today. "Brenda" reported the following:

-JT is in "D1" status.

-Build is scheduled to begin "week of 10/21."

-This is likely common knowledge amongst you Jeep lunatics, but for first-time Jeep buyers out there like myself, I learned that the process will go as follows once the build begins: 1) Frame, paint, trim, then inspection 2) additional packages, then second inspection 3) then ships from Toldeo, OH.

That's where I'm at, since ordering on 9/25. Looks like things are moving along boys and girls.

so now we know everyone is on the same time frame. how did you order your jeep? myself Sport -s premium sunrider soft top, advanced safety group, Max tow w/4.10, cold weather group convenience group,technology group, black insides. in idaho so i am sure many will have theirs before since it takes us about three weeks from the plant to see them out west here.

How did you confirm your build date?
If you have a build date of 10/22 you are a lucky guy or gal cause this is the first day of production of gator and you will most likely get one of the first ones that rolls down the line.
Mine is also scheduled for 10/22. My build will be filmed once it comes out of paint tile the end. If I can figure out how to post the video here I may do that at some point if there is any interest here of people wanting to see the production.
I'm getting excited! Hopefully I can have my gator JT by Halloween or the 1st part of Nov.

I ordered 9/24, and the most recent update from Jeep chat told me:

I can see your vehicle is in pre-production, which means that all the required materials have been scheduled and it should be entering the build process soon! Your order has been in D1 for 8 days now, It can stay in for up to 30.​

I hope it ends up among the early builds. I’ll just keep checking back until they have a date for me...

I ordered 09/21 a Rubicon with dual top group, brown leather seats and MT tires. Otherwise it'll be quicker to list what options I didn't order. I didn't get he body colored hard top or fenders, the steal bumper group (bought Rugged ridge Arcus front bumper), the blue tooth speaker, the fancy wheels, the headliner (already bought the Hothead liners), and the smoker's group.
At home I have the Arcus bumper, the Rock slider Engineering sliders, A CB set up, light mounts, winch and Builtright bed system, and Hothead head liners waiting to be installed. I've pre ordered the Metalcloak 3.5" chamechanger, but that will likely be a couple months before delivery.

I was one of those who couldn't wait and order the dual top group. I'm honestly not 100% sure that is the build date (I definitely could be wrong, but I requested info from my dealer, and while they didn't specify what the dates were, one was when I assume they placed they placed the order or it got approved (09/23) {I ordered on 09/21) and the other is 10/22 which I am assume is the planned build date( ship date?) (though could be wrong) It also has my current status (D1).

Yes I want to see that video! My Gator Rubicon has a build date of 10/22 also.

Ordered Rubicon 9/30. Was in D1 status last week.
Black hard top, Automatic, most everything else added except the cold weather group, upgraded rims, remote start and hardtop headliners.
Went with A/T tires.
