Still procrastinating on which setup to buy. Lots of misinformation out there. Looking to tow the Gladiator behind the F450 and Lance Slide-in. These systems are very expensive so I don’t want to screw this up. Which system is best? What braking system? What wiring?

I finally bit the bullet. This is what I bought:
Blue Ox BX7420 Avail 10,000# tow bar
Blue Ox BX1142 Base plate
Blue Ox BX88309 Avail Tow Bar Cover
Demco SI1214 Stay in Play Duo Braking System
Roadmaster 15267 Universal Wiring Kit with 6-7 flex cord

Now all that’s left is to install all this stuff! Any tips?

Maximus-3 makes some pretty cool tow loops that look better than most of the available baseplates. I just set my JLU up for towing and also went with a Blue Ox tow bar. I went with the Ascent aluminum tow bar. It is only rated at 7500 lbs, but it's easier to drag in and out of my RV and won't rust (my biggest deciding factor). I'm using a Brake Buddy Classic for now, but plan to switch to an Air Force One system down the road.
