So yesterday I was looking at the Bridgestone tires that came on the JT as OEM. I was surprised to find that Jeep didn't use the LT tire sizes for the OEM tires, as they seem to be much better than the 245/75/17 variants. LT245/75/17 H/Ts for example are load range E service rate 121, have deeper tread, etc. the 245/75/17 are by contrast no load range, and service rate 112T. I doubt the price would have been significantly different, so Jeep must have just cheaped out or didn't know any better. Regardless, this morning I can't find the 245/75/17 for the A/T RH-S. Maybe just a glitch with Bridgestone's website, I emailed them to confirm along with a request for a pressure load chart.

I am really disappointed that Jeep didn't include the Load E tires. They may not be needed, but certainly for something like the Max Tow would have been more fitting for a "truck"

112 rate for about 2500lbs per tire, 121 is over 3000. I doubt you'd have more than 10,000lbs on the OEM tires, ever, but something about the GVTWR being 12,500 makes me want tires that have a load rating of the same, even if it doesn't matter and the two things are not related.

Yeah maximum GVWR on these trucks is 6250 so technically even the P rated tires are overkill. FCA goes with those for fuel economy.

The Dueler A/T is garbage though and no better than a H/T tire, so it makes no difference to me. I immediately sell the stock rubber as soon as I get them home.

I don't mind driving them so far. Offroading I have Falken M/Ts. And when I picked up a set of wheels and tires for $250 I'll gladly keep them as my tires of choice until warranty is over, or at least a backup set.

Don’t mind mine either, and some of us would rather spend money elsewhere on the truck

Load E tires are usually 10 ply, have a rougher ride and increased cost. I do not see the business case to have a load E rated tire on a mid size truck when it is not needed for the stated payloads.
