I was told after about 4 months it was because I wanted anti slip with Manuel and they were having problems with that combo, cancelled the AS ...
Wow, this stinks worse than before.
My build will be an Overland w/ MT, 8.4 audio & Limited Slip Differential.

I heard of this delay from the dealer - dealer computer shows my order with VIN, ship date of November, but no explanation. The delay is combination of 8.4 inch screen on radio, and manual transmission. If MT is ordered with 8.4 inch now, warning comes up saying not until next allotment. We should all push FCA/Jeep for better service.
I called me dealer today to put the screws on them, I am really sick of the shitty communication. Jeepchat said I am in D status, but for some reason the order is flagged for hold. dealer said there should be no problem, but I really want them to get with their rep and figure out what's going on. I'm fine with waiting another few weeks but if it's going to be April time frame that's just not going to work for me. I could go find something off the lot, although manual transmissions seem to be fairly thin on the ground. might have to step up to a Rubicon or something and with some of the discounts these dealers are giving right now I might be able to do that for the same price of what I have on order.

I really wish FCA would get their act together with communicating delivery dates. Doesn't need to be exact but if you could at least give me plus or minus a month that would be appreciated.

There are 9 total Manuals on order right now in the US. I ordered mine a day after yours and have gotten the same run-around. Excuses about not ordering a front camera, seasonal shut downs... The last date is that it will be built by the end of January. I told the dealer I'm pulling out if it gets pushed back any longer.

I heard back from my dealer on Friday, it was the same thing about the front camera, limited slip, 8.4... Long story short their rep will not give any form of time frame for a build, I told him it would be fine for end of January or even early February but I would be extremely disappointed if come second week of February they said well actually it will only be another four weeks.... or so... found a manual transmission gray Rubicon that a local dealer is heavily discounted, probably because it's a manual. I think I am going to just cancel my order and buy that one off the lot.

I ordered an Overland with manual transmission on October 25; originally scheduled for November 17 ship date. After several stories, was informed today won’t be built until March - Jeep is holding manual transmission builds!!! Not impressed...
Things that make you say hmmmm -Ordered my manual w/ 8.4” screen on 11/21. It showed up at my dealership on Jan 8th

Did you also order the limited slip differential?

Mine is a Rubi so not sure if that is the difference.
That would mean you couldn't have ordered limited slip, of course.

I'll be surprised if MTs are kept as an option going forward, especially once the diesel option lands (auto only).

Manuals are on their way out across the industry anyway. I read recentkyvthey account for <5% of new vehicles.

Truth be told, being able to order a pickup in a Manual that's not a nissan is what steered me back into Jeep

A clarification: They are not on their way out worldwide.

Edit: Okay, that link is now throwing up a paywall that covers the chart. But, the chart shows that clearly manual transmission sales worldwide are decreasing, but they still are projected to outsell automatics through 2025.

Ok, maybe I'm an outlier, but I'm focused on the North American market. Let's be realistic, you can't easily import most cars to the US because of regulations, so what's selling well in Indochina is mostly irrelevant.
