So i like the shocks do i need limit straps? If so how long?
At that point, yes, limit straps would be the best course of action.

Length of limit straps would be determined by where you choose to place your brackets, they should be set to limit travel just before the sway bar link goes straight with the sway bar to prevent the sway bar from the potential of flipping.

Ok thanks a lot I’ll get me some. A friend of mine told me how his front swaybar flipped at the dealer when they brought it around his bars were sandwiched lol. I appreciate all your help with us truckers lol.

Someday I’ll have the remainder of my parts for the kit so I can get it installed. The front control arms I got from 4WheelParts have the old style bushings in the joints so I ordered the updated replacement kits to rebuild them now since the arms haven’t been installed PLUS I won’t need the special 000 grease. All joints can use the grade 1 or 2 then. Unfortunately it looks like I MIGHT have the rest of the lift parts before I get the rebuild kits and have to put the lift on hold until I get the joints rebuilt. I feel like I’m herding cats here.

Hi all, I recently had the "JT 3.0 X Factor No Limits Stage 1" with 2.25 shocks installed at a local offroad shop and all is great ... the ride is better than stock, even with 37s. But, I'm hearing a lot of squeaking from the shocks. All zerks are full of grease and it doesn't appear to be the springs either as they are seated correctly and when I'm under it and someone is rocking the bed its coming from the shocks.

My last RK lift on a JK with Fox Shocks didn't have this issue.

Is this normal with RK shocks?

I have RK shocks and they are quite. The shocks have no springs so there should be no noise from the shocks. Try putting a little oil on the shafts and see if that makes a difference.

Another thought, do you have a 37" spare? if so it could be making contact with the track bar and making the squeaking noise.

Have a stock spare ... thanks for the idea on grease, let me try it on the shaft and report back.

Noooooo. Not grease! OIL.
Grease will get dirt and grime stuck to it.
Not good for shaft of shocks.

Just confirmed the shop that installed used the grease/oil per instructions. How do I upload a video? I have a mp4, wmv., and .mov file of the same clip of the noise.

Here's a link: https://gofile.io/?c=Jn4dJb

I'll note it didn't do this when installed 5-6 weeks ago ... and I haven't been offroad. The front makes noise, but nothing like the rear.

I have never heard that sound from shocks, it sounds like wood being sawed. I`m at a lost the only thing i can think is that the shocks have no oil in them.

Sounds to me like your sway bar links, check washer placement and torque on those links and see again. Or, to prove the source of the noise, disconnect the rear sway bar links and bounce it again.
