In the area of Seattle that’s been hardest-hit, some nurses in emergency departments are washing and reusing surgical masks, gloves and gowns. They may work on a patient for hours or more before learning they tested positive for COVID-19.

Exactly. Look at appendicitis’s. Many moons ago it was a death sentence. Doctors didn’t understand what was going on. Now it’s pretty routine. A coworker of mine left work early due to abdominal pain, went to the doctor, surgery the next morning and back to work a week later.

Sorry can’t really compare to an appendicitis. That’s some basic imagining to diagnose with a basic surgery to resolve it. This is a virus that spreads fast, we still don’t know much about it and how it spreads, and we don’t have a vaccine. A large portion of the US will get it before a vaccine is available.

Thank you for the opportunity to dialogue. China is the biggest long term threat to the paux Americana. We have enjoyed a stable peace for our citizens. Yes, we have had internal struggles. Yes we could have done more around the world. So for starters, yes, the American president should lead us to greater strength. In this case, he has just run his course. My opinion. It was cute for awhile. I just do not take him or any of them seriously anymore. So when he treats Xi like Kim, I file a freaking grievance. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'm already gone. When Mitch can say the exact opposite as he did early in his career, only difference being party and not ideology, I'm done. I'm saying these guys have proven to me they are frauds. So, yeah, it aggrieves me when they open their pie hole. And, why I generalize the moron comment is because people defend a person, not a position. My thoughts on this hole deal is that sure it is ugly. We are going to loose some lives. Most of them will be those with pre existing conditions that will hinder there ability to fight this Chinese Virus. We are also going to loose some lives to every other thing that takes lives. We all have to pass at some point. The lives that are lost due to this Chinese Virus are no larger that the lives lost by the flu by percentage.
So why are we tanking the worlds economy over it?

I live in Ohio. Our republican governor in my opinion is making some very devastating decisions that I have grievances with. He has shut down the schools, restaurants, and has installed unnecessary fear. Without any evidence he has stated that they believe that Ohio has over 100k infected in Ohio. At the time that he said this the hole world only had 130k confirmed cases. He should be removed from office for inducing the panic that has emptied the grocery store shelfs. By the way I voted for this guy not to long ago.

Not much different than Dewine I believe that Trump ( the big moron as you know him ) has also made many mistakes in his dealings with this. I think Instead of going along with crashing the economy that he spent so much time on rebuilding for we the people he should of looked at the math better and fought back against the fake numbers coming out of the WHO. He should of put in place standards to protect the ones vulnerable to the Chinese Virus like the elderly and the sick that would not have crashed the economy and send us into a recession or great depression.

As far as China is concerned I don't believe anything that comes out of there. Trump has just crippled there economy by fighting for a fair trade deal. They will do anything to to fight back. This is a communist country that kills and in slaves there people. They kill there daughters for population control. I think it is appalling that the main stream media is fighting for a reason to side with them over the president of the United States of America. Just look at how hard they are trying to twist the narrative. Turning there own words into racism and xenophobia. They are the enemy of we the people.

I am so glad we are talking. We agree for the most part that the facts don't add up. We agree that the solutions don't match the facts. It is an honest disagreement over how we got here. Not sure if we disagree on next steps.

I think we got here because we did not invest in the middle class and we did not reform government services. I blame the president and Mitch for wasting their opportunity to build America from the inside out. They could have done it by increasing the middle class and by redesigning government to serve the people. What they did was slash and burn, without any reforms. They think service jobs are for other people, while they are building a service economy. Makes no sense. Unless... You are rich. So I think they had their chance and they blew it.

We have a good Republican governor in Arizona. He is building from the inside out, leaving the fringe people on the fringe where they belong. He was actually finally restoring some good investment in all people.

the virus... We knew during SARS and MERS what preparations to make, and we did not make them. This ain't rocket science. You have to pay ahead of time. We did not invest in a healthcare system designed against SARS, or MERS, and so this little bat virus is going to do great harm.

You are going to love this. If everyone had the same insurance that Mitch McConnel has, and the same retirement plan that Mitch McConnell has, even if they serve ice cream on the beach for a living, we would all be just fine about now. But that costs money. And that means taxes. And rich people fear taxation.

So,we either suck it up before and pay a ton of taxes, or we dance on coals cause virus won't look at your bank account.
