F’ them. If it makes you happy that’s all that matters. I’m tired of people openly criticizing everything unless it pleases them personally. It’s a very versatile, large, capable, open air truck that’s not for everyone.

I’ve owned a lot of cars, SUVs, and truck. I’ve been very fortunate to own a lot of good looking vehicles that get compliments. This Gladiator is up there with the most compliments, but it’s crazy how polarizing it is. I get a lot of compliments, like a surprising amount. However, I get almost as many negative. Now most of the negative are not actually to my face, I hear them talking shit. A handful of asshats feel the need to tell me how ugly it is. It’s just weird. I don’t really care, it actually entertains me.

You guys experience this? I have a most stock Sting Gray Overland. It just has 275/70/18 Revo 3s, matching front tint, and blacked out emblems. Pic for reference. I love the look of it and I’m not trying to solicit compliments.

I get mostly compliments but know there those who are not fans. The upside? I get to drive this Convertible everyday sitting on 37s with no lift and zero rub at full lock. Try that with your Colotacanger.... (Colorado + Tacoma + Ranger)

Yeah people either tell me how cool it is when they see mine, or they tell me how ugly they are when they just hear I own "one of those Jeep trucks". Unsolicited opinions are very high with this thing. I'll agree the stock Overland and Sport and not anything special to look at, some wheels and bigger tires change the whole look. Mopar lift and rock sliders are next on the agenda.

Attention-getting cars.. LOL. Had a Smart Car the first year they were released in Canada. At that point, they were still diesel and hadn't been released in the US yet. Took a trip down to the New England States.... Like me, I'm sure you could write a book on the comments people would make. If you wanted to get to someplace fast and not have to talk to people, you never took the Smart Car. It was also frustrating to give it a good wash and come out of somewhere and find handprints all over the windows from people looking in.. I don't know how many times I would walk slowly back to the vehicle hoping whoever was looking at it would be gone. Even worse, waiting till they were gone so you didn't have to answer questions if you weren't in the mood to be social.. . Great fun.. Cheers!

I dud the same thing with a smart car diesel before they had them in the states. I went from Vancouver to yellowstone and back. I met literally HUNDREDS of people. It was eye opening. In my Gladiator., i get LOTS of comments too.

People tell my wife that they don't like the Gladiator... but they like hers. I loved it as soon as I saw it. Kinda like my wife.

Damn dude, that is well played. All you have to do from today forward is print that post and you NEVER have to buy a sappy birthday or anniversary card again. Ha! Love the look by the way.

I live in NC and the only 1 person so far has said anything negative and that's my wife, she thinks it's ugly. I do get stopped at gas stations and the grocery store even flagged down and asked about it a few times a week every time they say it's awesome. It's an punkin orange sport s with Rubicon wheels.

I haven’t had much hater talk since I put better tires on mine. It did look shitty with the 255/70/18” all seasons. That’s not even that small of a tire for OEM, it’s 32.1”, but the all seasons look ridiculous on a Jeep.

I agree on the all seasons. I went with 255/80/17’s in a 10 ply Falken AT3 on my Max Tow. True 33 inches and a good looking, tough tire that I can tow with. Perfect tire if you need to maintain max towing capability, IMO.

That must be a narrow tire. I did a 275/70/18 Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3 E Load. 33.4”. They ride and handle great and have an aggressive sidewall for an A/T and are only 50 lbs, so very light for their size and load rating.

It is narrow—but I think they look good with the wider axles on the max tow. I’ve always liked taller versus wider. I’ve thought about 18 inch wheels—I read on here somewhere about a 35/10.5/18 tire someone is running. That sounded interesting. May check out your Bridgestones also—I like the lighter weight. Didn’t mean to turn this into a tire thread!

Every Jeep thread turns into a tire thread lol, but yeah the wider max tow axles surely help. You have a good looking Jeep. I wish I had the 4.10s but the 8 speed and 3.73s do fine.

Ive ran the Revo and Revo 2 before and loved them. the Revo 3 seems great so far.

I've only gotten compliments so far. Nothing but positive feedback even from Colorodo and Ranger owners ha, ha.

I had a 2017 Canyon All Terrain before my Gladiator. I didn’t see much hate at all from that crowd or on the forums. A lot seemed to respect the Gladiator.

I had a dude last week tell me that my truck was sharp and asked if the color was "baby shit." It's Gator.

OTOH, I had a young couple in a topless TJ pull up next to me the day before that and told me they liked my Jeep. I've had way more positive interactions than negative.
