How much did the dealer charge you to install it if you don’t mind me asking?
Off hand I don’t recall the price. The cost of the lift was similar but they only charged me $75/hr for their installations price. So I’m pretty sure that’s cheaper than the $900 they charged.

For those of you with dealer installed Mopar lifts. Did you get front track bars or add more caster correction? How does it ride with only the mopar lift components?

After getting a Mopar on my wives JLU Sahara I ended up adding an adjustable track bar and steering stabilizer to get it to stop death wobbling.

It's funny the comments, had it done at the dealer so my warranty is still intact. Your warranty was always intact regardless if they did the install or not. Warranty on the LIFT itself is a different story. The vehicle warranty was not altered. Seems some are getting confused with the separate warranties.

I installed my Mopar lift myself mainly because I wan't going to shell out the cash for someone else to do it. Plus I love wrenching on my vehicles, you learn more about them and how things are put together.

The only thing that was nice for my dealer install was because I added an extra 2yr extended warranty, it bumped up the lift warranty by an extra 2yrs. I agree though, if I had equipment, tools, a garage and even a buddy to help along, I would love to be able to do things like this myself. Minor installs I can do which I feel pretty good about :)

Bottom line is any modifications gives dealer the option to deny a claim and make you fight to prove foreign part is not the cause. I’m familiar with rights according to magnuson-moss warranty act but the burden is still on you to fight it. Advice given to me by one of my brothers who works for Jeep, keep the lift under 2.5”. If you get a mopar lift even better, but not necessary. Dealer Installed mopar lift is best option but also not required. As far as previous question about track bar, Mopar lift is supposedly enough but I went ahead with the jks adjustable track bar and a fox steering stabilizer cause they aren’t that expensive and help in my past experience with my jk. Just my 2 cents

Originally mine was done with lift only. It ended up making my steering and wander much much worse. I complained about that and they put a Fox Steering Stablizer for me free of charge. It still wandered a bit but certainly not as bad as before the stabilizer. I then got the TSB fix with the updated software and steel steering box and bolts. While in for that, the adjustable trackbar I had kicking around, I had installed at the same time.

I believe that TSB fix has more to do with the ride quality and feel due to the components you mentioned. To me it is as perfect a ride I believe it can be. To use the term “better than stock” I think now pertains to pre-TSB to post-TSB Fix now.

Not confused - one impacts the other - especially here. As someone else said above, dealer can make it very unpleasant if they want to.

Buy it yourself, install it yourself, get it aligned by dealer and enjoy. No warranty issues. Rides great, no bells and whistles but loves 35s.

I think I will buy it myself but get the dealer to install it (don't have the garage space even if I wanted to install it myself). Money saved from buying the kit myself will help cover dealer install and then little concern re warranty down the road.
Will prob do it in the Spring but buy the lift and related parts over the winter.

In all honesty what’s really going to be voided. The suspension components that you replaced. So all in all your really not voiding that much.

Tell the parts dept you want their 25% discount. They are competing with all the other vendors. I got my Mopar lift for 1,125.00. Jeep Delaer.

I paid $1,150 for my JT Mopar lift shipped on amazon (it did have a damaged crate, but I’m not sure if that effect the price). It installed easily in the driveway and I got a lifetime alignment plan for the truck from firestone for $99. I’d recommend this for anyone who likes wrenching on their Jeep and plans to monkey with the suspension.

straight axel lifts are easy to install and can be done with hand tools.

I always assumed you’d need a vehicle lift to do the Mopar lift kit.

Were you just using a Jack and Jack stands?

To those that have the Mopar 2" lift on their Gladiator (and even those that don't but have considered it)... do you think it's worth the money for it and to have the dealer install it to keep all the factory warranty? Is there even any guarantee after install, warranty would remain in tact?

Reason I am asking... the Mopar lift here is around $2300 CDN from the dealer. Add on around $900 CDN for install and alignment. Then of course add tax to that.
For that price, it seems I can get a "better" lift kit and have it installed at a local shop for the same price.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Looking to go with some KMC 17" 0 offset wheels and 37" tires (still undecided on make) on my Rubicon JT. As the JT is only 2 months old, it would be nice to keep warranty since there is so much left.

Thanks in advance!
I don't think there is ANY case where it's worth it. You can lift the Jeep for $200 or less using coil spacers and get the exact same performance and look. I've seen people beat the piss out of Jeeps in Moab with spacer lifts. Why anybody would spend over $2,000 for a 2" lift kit is beyond me.
