I didn’t take it for a spin for a couple reasons. However, I found the #1 reason everyone should put their windshield down a few times a year......cleaning the dash and inside windshield! As soon as I put it down, I ran for some interior wipes and windex lol. I keep my JT relatively clean and was kinda grossed out by the stuff down in the front of the dash and hinge area. I recommend everyone put theirs down a couple times a year to just clean everything! Luckily its easy to lower.

Good reason to do it.....the only time I see it being enjoyed to be lowered is on the trail... anyone use it other places?

There’s people on here that use it for normal driving. I haven’t done any off roading but it sure seems like the windshield down actually obscured the view more. As soon as I finished cleaning, I bolted it back up.

Its fun, I have done it up to 55mph on the road with the tie downs and some motorcycle sun glassess.

We always put the windshields down on the CJ's and the FJ-40 when we hunted our private land. The line of sight is drastically better even compared to no doors / no top.

With the YJ's new roll "cage", that fun stopped, I've only had the window folded down a few times. PITA. With the cage on the JL/JT, the line of sight isn't really that improved, either. I still like that it can be done!

I put mine down for local roads, I wouldn't do any real wheeling with it down though, it blocks too much of the view.

Good heads up about the cleaning aspect. I've already noticed that the JL windshield seems easier to clean from the inside vs the JK due to the positioning of the rearview mirror.

Any ideas/suggestions for stickers/graphics/lettering to put on the frame so it’s visible only when the windshield is down?
