Need advice - Best "upgraded" tire size on stock Sport S rims?

What is the most common "larger" tire size that will fit on the stock Sport S - Max Tow rims? Obviously it's 245/75/r17 as OE but I'm not 100% familiar with how proper upsizing works.
I'm considering getting Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires before the wet/snow season hits Ohio but I'm not 100% on wanting E rated tires. I'm 85% highway as a daily driver so not totally messing with my fuel economy, being quiet, and good stopping distance (wet & dry) are my main priorities with a desire to just look more aggressive than the dueler OE tires.
Reprogramming for size won't be an issue as I'm ordering my Livernois tuner early next week.

I'm running BFG KO2s on mine in a 315 70 17 which is basically a 35 inch tire. No issues at all with this size on stock wheels. When they wear out I'll get 37 12.5 17 BFG KO2S and they will be fine as well.

I have 285/75/17 yokohama geolander g015's and, IMO, theyre perfect. I actually like them more than the KO2s ive had in the past. I do, however, wish I went with a 305 or a 315 but so it goes.

Had them mounted up today, these are the LR C ones, they make both LR C and E in this size. Running 36psi, smooth and quiet on the highway. Need a lift now, but I like how they are still inside the fenders.

I have a max tow also, and decided on Falken AT3W due to prior excellent results with them. In stock size, you can get SL at about 42 lb (vs. 34 lb. stock), or E at about 50 lb. I got 255-80-17 at about 52 lb, 33.1" vs. 31.5" high. They work great with 4.10 gears and give the same mpg as stock ( was amazed and pleased with this!) I avoided the 285 Rubi size as it is .3" shorter and over 10 lb.heavier than the 255s.

This is with 285/75/18 (same height as 285/75/17) Falken Wildpeaks. I love them!

Would this thread apply to Sport S with the regular tow and a manual transmission? Not sure how different the maw tow is verse the regular tow

looks good but being on 18” rims they would be an inch taller, probably taller than most tires sold as 35s
