33.3” tall compared to stock 28.5. I run a Mojave
I am confuse..... my stock Mojave 33s are 31" tall fully compressed by the truck. I'd imagine they're over 32" off the truck.

How would less of a contact patch increase traction? The stock tire size isn’t wide enough to cause the negative attributes of wider tires like hydroplaning or pulling on roads with ponding. It’s simple physics.
Simple physics is how a smaller contact patch can increase traction. There's more to traction than just the size of the contact patch, the contact pressure also plays a very large role. One must also consider the shape of the contact patch and how that interacts with the surface it's in contact with.

Your confused what does that make me?

My stock tires are speced as 32.8” and new ones 33.3, so 1/2” no big deal , the OP is a daily driver with mild off-roading , I would not go shorter in height with the 4.10 gearing. Lot’s of people do fine driving on 3.73 gears and mileage might increase a bit.
