The Overland is the 'luxury' version of the Gladiator. It is intended primarily for street use. It comes with the larger wheels and all season tires, probably for a smoother ride.Does anyone know why the Overland is the only model to have 18's?
I kind of thought that might be the reason. Have had 2nd thoughts after purchasing it. Thanks for the reply. The Overland is the 'luxury' version of the Gladiator. It is intended primarily for street use. It comes with the larger wheels and all season tires, probably for a smoother ride.
The spare wheel and tire are 17" - I'd bet that's to save money - Jeep buys only one size steel wheel that way.Does anyone know why the Overland is the only model to have 18's?
The Overland will do what probably 75 percent of what Jeep Gladiator owners want one to do. I did a 2” mopar lift with the fox shocks and 285/75/18 Falkens and it srill rides great and will go any damn place I want to go in a Jeep...bo, its not a Crawler, and wasnt designed to be one, but its way more than capable for trails, mountain roads and such....and as capable and comfortable as my ‘18 GMC Sierra SLT 4x4 was.I kind of thought that might be the reason. The Altitude also has 18's.Does anyone know why the Overland is the only model to have 18's?
Leather wrapped dash, and the bolt holes in the grab handle are covered. There are options you can't get on the Overland, like the trail camera and electric locking differentials.Does the overland have anything extra that's not on the Rubicon?
Not sure why it's dumb - it's a cost saving measure for FCA.That's a bummer, no let me rephrase that, it's dumb!
Hey! Sounds great! Did you need to add a lift with the 35s? Did you have to re calibrate the speedo? I’d love to put bigger tires on my OverlandI love my overland. I knew it wasn't the most capable 4X but its much more capable than most and enough for what I will use it for. I didn't expect to do any hard core wheelin with it and I like the luxury aspect of it. The stock 18's are nice but I replaced them with another set of 18's and some 35's.
That being said I have a set of overland wheels and tires with less than 1000 miles on them for sale
I have 35” Falkens on mine with no lift, I like the look and those tires don’t rub anywhere for me.Hey! Sounds great! Did you need to add a lift with the 35s? Did you have to re calibrate the speedo? I’d love to put bigger tires on my Overland
