Nice!! I guess I can see why these upgrades are so costly beyond the hardware cost...much labor intensity.

Is there any other powertrain upgrading going on—trans...xfer case...diffs...axles?
Yeah, alot of time goes into it for sure.

On mine the entire powertrain has been gutted. Engine, transmission, drive shafts, full exhaust, upgraded diffs (5.13s) and etc.

Also updating from the 2" Mopar lift to a AMW custom 3" long arm lift. Once its all said and done there is very little of the stock internals/powertrain left.

No lift required. The Hemi, on the other hand...

Appreciate your offer, MK.

Sweet. One thing that's somewhat missing is a proper video series about the swaps and also a proper review of the outcome other than doing burnouts. Hope you keep us posted!!

How much would a 5.7 hemi conversion cost? I know the 6.4 can be upwards of 30-40k, but given that the 5.7 isn't the performance powerhouse that the 6.4 is, it should be significantly cheaper, right?

The 6.4L kit runs at 35Kish w install plus tax (yuck). You do need to be lifted though so that's added cost if not lifted already. Funny enough when you look at the parts breakdown you see that the vast majority of the 35K is parts (which I am sure the shops take a cut as well).

The 5.7 isn't any cheaper, really. A couple thousand bucks.

The reputable shops produce the parts - so they are cheaper than you or I could get them for PLUS they are making a margin on them. Its a win win for the big guys that have it figured out.
