Feds Recall Notice for Aftermarket JT Headlights by Hikari

Just got this notice from Amazon for the Hikari (very popular on the forum) upgrades- it looks like the headlights are not safe- Damn. Bright as hell. Too bright, apparently.

That's interesting...never seen something like that before. Lets be real here, we all know full well many of these plug in bulbs don't meet code (especially when inserted into a halogen housing)....hence the reason most have been sold as "off-road only" for ages. Wonder how this one wiggled up to becoming a recall....

Yeah which bulbs did you buy the new version or the older version. I didn't get anything from Amazon on mine, I got the older version they don't sell anymore.

I drilled down a bit- it looks like its actually the fog lights, this is the info from Amazon:
