This has always bothered me. Does it bother anyone else? Not just on Jeeps but all vehicles.
License plate frames are one thing, but a sticker or plaque on the vehicle? No thanks.
I was lucky enough to catch mine on the lot before they tramp stamped it. I informed them what I would charge them for advertising their dealership on the paint of my new Jeep. I thought my offer was reasonable.
$50/mo for the 15 years I plan on keeping it.
They declined my offer.

When they dropped my off they started to take the dealer tag off and ask me if I wanted the dealer license plate frame. Of course it had their name on it so I said no thanks I already have the one that will be on the truck. It also had a black plastic lettering of the dealer name and city. I took it off within 24 hrs. I don't advertise for a dealer .

What’s funny is I have left the last couple on.

Ive gotten my last 3 jeeps from the same dealer. They ALWAYS treat me, and my family, very well in the sales side. And the Maitenance shop has never once screwed me over or lead me down a bad path with a repair. These guys have even been great about me having upgrades done, and not making it a no warranty scenario like others have experienced.

All in all im happy to advertise for them because, in my scenario, they deserve it.

Im sure thats not everyone’s experience.

I don't care about the license plate holder really, not like I have anything to replace it with, but I took the sticker off immediately. Luckily it was a bubble sticker and easy to peel off, didn't leave a mark. I see badges and decals and those would annoy me, not sure if there is much .ore to removing them

My last 3 vehicles I made the dealer write in the contract no dealer stickers.

Twice they pulled the vehicles around with the decals on them. Both times they said "the prep guys always put them on... just pull it off if you don't want it". And I respond "you pull it off or you keep the vehicle". They then had the prep guys remove them.

I know its easy enough to remove them but I can't stand those cheap stickers.

I factory ordered mine, when I arrived to pick it up, the dealer had the plate frames and ad plates installed. Fortunately no on-paint stickers. I took them off in the little tent before I ever test drove it.

They laughed, I laughed. I'm not advertising anything for anyone.

No dealer around here does that except for Carmax
Same here. Last 3 we bought didn't have any sign of the dealership name on them.
You don't see a lot of dealer "ads" here on vehicles, mostly the license plate frames if anything.

Nope. I dont do tramp stamps. Hair dryer those things right off. If its a good dealership that gives me a good experience i might leave their license plate bracket.

Other than the Employee pricing my dealer sucks. I told them straight up that they do not deserve my sponsorship and that I would not take ownership if they tattooed my truck up. If i was in your shoes with a dealer that treated me well I would for sure help them out with some tramp stamps.

If they have 1 on there I ask them to remove it before I sign any papers. Most of the dealers I've been to understand and are cool about it. A little plastic spatula thingy, some goo gone, elbow grease, and it's all gone, good as new.
