I finally had the time to install my old brake controller from a V8 Toyota 4rnr 4wd, to an AWD Honda Pilot, now to my G. I ordered the right wire harness from Amazon. Installation was supposed to be easy due to it being plug and play. But NO, I have to pick a location where I could easily see and make brake adjustments on the fly. So I decided to put it between the cig lighter and media connections. That's an empty space there! Drilled a few holes carefully to ensure there's no electrical parts that can be damaged...and I'm just too lazy to pull out all the dash trims. After a good size cutout to fish the cable, I realized it was a tight space there! (Some cussing)No way the smaller end plug will fit in there. I ended up cutting and splicing the wires. Thank goodness I have some leftover wire butt connectors from my stereo (wife's car) install yesterday. Oh yeah, while yanking the damn harness, I think, I blew the 30A tow trailer brake fuse #F36. (more cussing, LOL) Duh! Good thing there's some spare fuses under the hood. All in all, I'm happy with the end results
