With the current short supply of most branded 37s, I may have to adjust my build time with current upgrade plans due to most 37s on backorder for 8-10 weeks. My primary choice has been the Nittos but cannot find them anywhere.

I have had Coopers in the past for other trucks and have been happy with them. Mind you those were highway tires on an F150.

I may be able to get my hands on some Cooper 37x12.5s ASAP.

Those running these, how do you like them both on and off road? My biggest concern is comfort and noise level around town especially highway travel.

Thanks in advance of any feedback!

I don't have them on my JTR (yet) but I had them on my JKU. 37x12.5-17 Cooper STT Pro.

I absolutely loved them. Balanced super easy, real quiet (for a mud tire, you could barely hear them), were super sticky off-road and performed well in the wet.

Honestly, I couldn't find a fault for them if I was trying to.

Sounds like one in the thumbs up column. Thanks for the insight.

Funny how one can angst over a tire, but it has to be comfortable as we will be planning long trips.

Thanks again!

Had Cooper ST Maxx 35 x 12.5 on my JKU - so not 37s, but I was very happy with them. Good all around AT that is a little closer to an MT than a lot of other ATs. It was one of the tires that helped launch the hybrid category AT/MT. Balanced well, not loud on road compared to most MT, really good at everything off road, unless you live in the mud 24/7. Then get an MT. I’m not a mudder, so I was stoked on this tire. It can be studded, but I didn’t use them in winter. I run a true winter tire 6 months per year (softer rubber compound for grip in cold weather, lots of sipes, and studs). Made in the US if that matters to you. Two thumbs up from me.

I have had 2 sets of STT Pros. One was 37x12.5x17 and the current set is 40x13.5x17. They are much quieter than the tread pattern would lead you to believe. I am NOT saying they are quiet, but if you want an aggressive tread pattern but don't want to deal with the excessive noise that accompanies most MTs then this is a good choice. Of course, regular rotation is a must in order to keep them this way. From my experience they also wear well. I have no complaints, on or offroad.

Agreed... you can definitely hear them... but for an MT with that aggressive of a tread pattern, they are very quiet.

I was considering the SST Pro until the guy at Mavis suggested the Cooper Discoverer At3 XLT in a 37 12.5 17. I may end up with that tire or the Milestar Patagonia's. Mavis had me out the door at $1175.00 on the AT3 XLT and they also are offering a $75 mail in rebate so basically $1100 after the rebate. Just throwing it out there. I found one guy running them on a TJ locally and he said they were great on and off road. Just throwing it out there as another option

Are you looking at the ST Maxx or STT Pro? Unless you are in the mud a lot, I think the Maxx is the better all around off-road tire. On road, it’s the Maxx hands down.

Not intent on ”looking” for mud.

More interested in an all around good tire that won’t wimp out when on the trail Or be noisy on hwy. Good suggestion with the Maxx.

I just got the Pros put on last week in a 37x12.50xR17. My JT pulls hard right now. Drives straight on the stock falkens. Going to see if discount tire will switch me to the Max.

Interesting indeed. I went with 13.5s and this thing rides better than stock.

STT Pros on mine with no complaints. Quiet for a mud tire. Have to swap one out because it would have required over 20oz to balance.

I ended up just staying with the pros. I’m still getting a slight pull to the right or left depending on the pitch of the road. I’m dealing with it because the off-road performance has been great. But when it comes time to replace them I’ll probably go with something else. Mine are 12.50 wide, another poster said the 13.50 are performing well and I talked with a guy this weekend running 37x13.50’s on a JL that said he had no pulling issues. Maybe 13.50’s are the sweet spot with this tire.
