Hey, I know this is an old post but what do you all think about using the cowl that Mopar has made for the new Wrangler 4xe ?

Looks a lot like the concept but with a door.

I’ve already reached out to 813 about using his under hood kit with this.

Hopefully the cowl will be available as a part soon.

I'd expect it to be available as a replacement part(s) soon knowing how many people are to busy to latch there gas cap door or even put the gas caps back on already ? how many people will be forgetting to un-plug before driving off?
Sorry couldn't help myself with that. I do like that with quite a few people.... I know to watch them until I can get away from them driving.

I know this is an older post, but FYI, ARB doesn't want the compressor mounted under the hood due to the heat. This is the case for both the single and dual motor.

I’ve heard a few people say that but almost every install bracket on the market is in the engine compartment.
I know there are a few for under seat and behind rear seat, you then loose easy access outside the truck and need to route airlines out of the passenger compartment.
IDK

I mounted my dual behind the rear seat using the 813 bracket. It's nice and snug and out of the way.. Pull seat forward to dissipate heat when using.. I plan on putting the quick connect on the passenger side by the rear seat. This way it's enough line to keep it from getting hot, and it's also out of the elements. I had a quick connect on my TJ before on my bumper but got hard to use after a while from corrosion. Just a few tips.

But not ARB's brackets. Their brackets go under the seat, behind the seats or in the bed depending on the vehicle. for the Gladiator and JL, it's under the front seat.

Where did you find that information? Per their installation instructions:

2. Keep away from sources of heat (e.g., too close to exhaust system components or directly behind the radiator, etc.).

Seems that they tell you what parts of the engine bay to avoid?

I worked for ARB for 17 years up until last October. This is why the few brackets ARB offers are designed for outside of the engine bay because the engineers don't want the added stress of the heat being generated by the engine. That being said, my YJ, the compressor is under the hood, but the exhaust is on the other side. I also raise my hood when airing up, even here in the wet PNW.

Probably why it's right next to driver door, kinda hard to miss.... but we're only human lol
