so if you have this and you use it at home my question would be why as who’s going to copy your key in your house or am I missing something
My assumption is many people keep their keys near the door. They go near the door and "steal" the code, then use it on the vehicle in the driveway/street.

This type of code theft can be done on the road at a long stoplight.... All you need is a raspberry pie and/or laptop. Once your jeep is targeted, they don't need to wait for you to be at home. You're only possible protection is to keep the key in a Faraday bag all the time except when you are taking it out for use.... if they try to steal it when you take it out for use they will be close enough for you to see them.

Keep your jeep in a locked parking garage.
even putting a nice fat chain around your tires Will help because they must make a lot of noise to remove it first.... not something they are going to want to do in front of your house.

The biggest limitation to this attack is that the person needs to be relatively close to both the key and the vehicle..... potentially putting them within line of sight of the owner while the code is being stolen.

Having multiple keys inside the house that are susceptible to this type of theft is one way to increase the amount of time required for them to steal. They must differentiate which code they stole.

This. and thanks for the links guys, didn't know the term "faraday" to look that up. Picked up two. Also, still gonna put the club on this bad boy. I imagine with all the aftermarket parts being back ordered there is a big demand to part out jeeps on the black market. Just a hunch.

Go ahead, the car is worth more stolen than sold.
