It rolled up well enough to fit in my wheelie-bin. ??‍For those that pulled your carpet, how easy do you think it would be to store? Does it roll up or is it semi-rigid and would need to lay flat in storage?
I love the idea of the Armorlite option (especially in winter when it is slushy, salty/briny and muddy), but I'd hesitate to get rid of the carpet in case I might want to revert back one day. A 60-90 minute swap seems reasonable to swap it in and out with the seasons (though let's be honest: I'd probably be too lazy and just leave it in). Good intentions and whatnot, eh?
Lol...I assume you mean it went in the garbage bin? Would it survive being unrolled? It rolled up well enough to fit in my wheelie-bin. ??‍![]()
What season would carpet be better in? I know of 4 carpet sucks in, is there a 5th?For those that pulled your carpet, how easy do you think it would be to store? Does it roll up or is it semi-rigid and would need to lay flat in storage?

I have 2 Great Pyrenees and those Girls are ridin in the back under an RSI Smart Cap!!I have a dog and his hair gets into the carpet and is impossible to get out. And since he is a husky, there is a LOT of it too. And while I am not allergic to dogs at all, he gets pollen on his fur and any of it swirling around can irritate me. It evades the mud mats easily.
And my kid plays a lot of baseball and is always dusty and dirty, that too evades the mats. So does beach sand, biking dirt, crumbs, you name it.
So did the Armorlite full interior today. Not a bad install, 30-60 is generous, plan for 90. I had male torx heads on my seat, their instructions show female, but the normal sockets work fine. Did have female on the under seat storage.
It's a straight forward install, everything fit very well.

Cut so well fits snugly around the under seat vents.

warning, graphic nasty content. I could have vacuumed some of this up but it never gets actually clean. All of this evades the mud mats.

Never gonna get this out of the carpet without seat removal, now will be a quick wipe.

The main offender but my kid is a very close second.

Yeah. Wheelie bin.Lol...I assume you mean it went in the garbage bin? Would it survive being unrolled?
Definitely doesn't "roll" up, the hard part will be the back carpet since its one giant piece. I think I'm going to accept a crease in the "middle" of that piece, then try to lay the rest flat. Seal it up in some garbage bags and store it in the attic. For those that pulled your carpet, how easy do you think it would be to store? do you have full sound assassin or half? did you have sound assassin with carpet prior to armorlite and armorlite still made quieter?I dont have my drain plugs fitting exactly yet, but i think thats just because i suck at installing interior/fabric stuff like that. I kept the sound assassins away from the trim corners. Thats the only place i saw that MIGHT make install of the ArmorLite hard.
Frankly, unless you already have a full sound assassin kit installed; just do the half kit with the ArmorLite. The majority of the sound deadening benefit of that mat comes from spacing sections of it out across the floor to catch/kill resonance. I would imagine a half kit with ArmorLite is within 1dB of full sound assassin and ArmorLite; but that’s admittedly just a guess. Its crazy how much quieter my interior is now. Night and day difference.
Im going to stick another sheet inside the doors when i do the proximity retrofit and try to cut whats coming in from the door panels.
Half kit. Did them both at the same time.do you have full sound assassin or half? did you have sound assassin with carpet prior to armorlite and armorlite still made quieter?
I have to get off this forum…everyday it seems like I add a part to add to my JTR “gotta buy” list.
Lol...you're right, carpet sucks in a vehicle (especially a Jeep or other truck). What season would carpet be better in? I know of 4 carpet sucks in, is there a 5th?
