Thanks for the great information.

Are there any risks associated with disconnecting the sway bar, especially for a stock, (no lift) Sport S, Max tow?

also, have looked at multiple disconnects and all I have seen so far require you to “cut” off a bracket on the passenger side mount. Not a fan of that. Has anyone found a disconnect that does not require frame modifications?

thanks

The Jeep has a set speed which it will automatically re-engage the swaybar. I believe it is 14 mph if you have a Rubicon of course.
Interesting. I assume that’s “in the manual”. One day I’ll read that.

None that I know of. If you compare thicknesses of the front and rear sway bar, the front is much much thicker.
On my TJ, I ran disconnects, then an Antirock off road sway bar with the stock rear sway bar. The rear bar did not limit flex at all.

Thank you I wasn’t sure or not, I was gonna get some front quick disconnects for sure but that helped me out a lot thanks!

I am installing the JKS. Wanted to wait til my steering box was replaced. Did not want to give jeep a reason to deny the repair...I know I know.... but some dealers...
I am doing the same thing - waiting on the dealer.

Is there a speed at which you would not want to exceed with your sway bar disconnected?
As always, it depends. The automatic 15mph thing is probably about right for someone that isn't experienced with a good feel for the vehicle but I've known people for years who have run without them.
