If the plenum isn't 80mm then it's a complete waste (and likely a waste anyway with out proper tuning)

Now if you supercharge it then that's when you start having potential benefits

I installed a FastMan 80mm on mine and like it. MMX seems to have a good rep in Dodge forums. Id pair it with an intake and tuning.
Did you check the size of the plenum opening by chance?

I didnt, but dont let people get you wrapped around the axle over whatever the diameter is. Theres a lot that more that goes into the fluid dynamics of air through a pipe than “is section a the same diameter as section b”.

Short version, go suck air through a soda straw, then cut it down to 2” and do it again, and tell me which is easier.

If you want the actual math of the velocity friction of air moving:

Has anyone tried a larger throttle body like the ones advertised by Overkill, Fastman or MMX Modern Muscle?

Just curious...

The MMX throttle body isn't listed to fit the JT so I called them this morning. They said that it does indeed fit the new 3.6 in the JT but they haven't updated their product info on their site. It looks like a good alternative to Fastman as his stuff appears to be unobtanium at this point.

It looks similar to mine. Doesnt look like they mod the butterfly arm bar however. What difference that individual piece makes im not sure.

Sure, with a long enough pipe fluid dynamics come into play, we are talking about less than 1/2". Ain't gonna help too much with airflow.

Yeah? Tell us more. Ive been doing this stuff for a long time bud. If it didnt work, you wouldnt be able to watch fuel trims change and subsequently have to adjust them, and we wouldnt go through the hassle when building a race car.

You’ll probably find this more beneficial if you stay in “receive and ask questions” mode than “try to deliver internet mythology”.
