Just noticed a bunch of water pooled up underneath my truck. Anyone think this a bit excessive for a vehicle with 2,000 miles?

Condensation weep hole, which permits exhaust moisture to drain. Anyplace there's a weld, the first place of oxidation. If it concerns you, wire brush and his t with rust converter, like Extendorust.

I used to do my entire jku undercarriage with black rust converter. Always looked awesome even after 109k miles! Part of why I got a great deal on my trade in.

Ill be doing the same with the JT. Just food for thought if you do...remember to wear glasses and probably a respirator or n95 or something...the rust chunks and fumes are killer

Speaking as a guy who wire wheeled and painted the exhaust from the cat back to make the muffler more discrete... I feel you.

Is the rust excessive, no. Will the system rust out, no not really. Metallurgy on exhuast now is not what it was, these systems will go 100k no problem. I drag my belly through mud, snow, beach sand, salt water, plowing, creeks, rivers, fetted puddles... system still looks fine.

A good phosphate treatment and some healthy 2 part epoxy paint and it'll always look good.
