2020 Rubicon I bought brand new 9 weeks ago. It has 4500 miles. Currently at the dealer since Wednesday with a "wiring problem" causing the engine to shut off at random times. Has 2 codes, lost communication with driver assist module and ABS disabled ECU.

Parts replaced by dealer so far:
Front bumper
Headlights
Grill
Center console w/ arm rest
Right front axel and axel rod
Right front locking actuator
Steering box
Rear Glass (defrost repaired)

I have a case open with Jeep Cares, and requested to be reviewed for possible Jeep buy back and/or exchange but I was denied. I'm thinking it might be time to get a lawyer involved? It's really a shame because I like the Gladiator, I'm just worried about what's gonna break next, or what damage has been done already by the faulty parts.

If they are repairing your issues ( no matter how many) , your stuck with it.

Yeah this really sucks. Yeah, what else may fail in response to all of these parts either not functioning properly from the start, or incompetence from whoever does the repairs? Would be fine/acceptable on an older vehicle, but not this.

Jeep did give me 125k extended warranty, which is great....if I'm not at the dealer every 2 weeks. I wonder how much money I'd lose trading it in for 2021....maybe it's worth it just to be done with this POS...idk

I feel ya. Mine was a a week old when it wouldn't start one day. To the dealer it went and then it failed me again. I'll make a long story short. First thing they replaced was fuel pump relay and that wasn't it. Then they ordered a PCM which is supposed to be the whole brains of the thing. That didn't fix it either. Last option for electric gremlins was the TIPM. If not that then the only logical explanation was the jeep was possessed. Weeks later all is working, knock on wood.
Your list of replacements seems odd. Have they addressed the key electrical components above?
I personally suspect that the supply chain all over the world is off kilter and is causing manufacturing defects. Only takes one little part made somewhere to be not quite right

I swear all they are capable of is throwing parts at the problem. No one can actually fix shit anymore.

Yeah this stuff really irritates me - like they can bill you for their time, let's reciprocate.

I’m in the same boat. Probably going to end up having to lemon law it.

Looking at your first post, not this one, you knew they were going to fix the cosmetics per your due bill when you bought it. So, scratch the first part of the list.

Defroster - no big deal, they fixed that when you received your new cosmetics
The axle is fixed - no big deal
Steering box is a TSB - fixed
Unsure why they replaced the center console but it’s not going to get you a new vehicle when you go to arbitration. They’ve fixed it and doesn’t pose a safety issue.

Yes, no one likes to spend time at a dealership, but that’s why you buy a new vehicle with a warranty.

Honestly, reviewing your previous posts, it appears you have buyer’s remorse and are trolling for sympathy.

- I found out they were gonna replace the bumper, grill, and headlights AFTER I bought it, so not scratching that.
- I'm glad you feel that having to change out an entire axel on a brand new $60,000 Jeep is "no big deal". Maybe you're just a Jeep guy and just used to this kind of shit? (P.S. you left out the front locking actuator...but let me guess...no big deal)
-buyers remorse....OK, that one you might be right about. Five trips to the dealer, several major parts requiring replacement, total time in the shop 15 days and counting, still broke and in the shop atm...all this in 2 months and under 5000 miles....yeah, I regret buying this Jeep. I also regret canceling my Bronco order...lol.
-trolling for sympathy...absolutely not! isn't one of the main reasons this forum exists is so we can all learn from each other? In fact, thanks to another forum member here I got connected with Jeep Cares and received much better service through my dealer...and got me the extended warranty.

No they haven't...well not yet anyway. The service rep texted me on Friday asking me if I have had any problems with the start/stop switch, so I'm thinking they are looking at the ignition.

Hmm I know next to nothing about this stuff but if I were you I would insist on a new PCM and TIPM

Mine has been in the shop for 2 weeks with electrical issues. This has been my worst vehicle I’ve owned. Back window leaks, steering is terrible, and now the electrical issues

Over 30 days total and you should be able to lemon law it. I loved my JK, NO issues, put over 100k mikes on it. My JT has 4500 on the clock and an entire engine needed to be replaced, now back for poor install issues. I hit the 30 day mark this week. Anything else happens and I’m ? getting every cent back. Paying 60k might not mean a lot to some but for me 60k on a toy that is broken with less than 5k miles on it…c’mon man wtf FCA?
