I Grew up usin the Sears Roebuck Catalogue in the summer time when the well went dry-WTF are you worried about-Get a spray nozzle as Sears is Dead!!

The article says “Starting Monday, the Stellantis plants will stop producing Jeep Cherokee and Compass SUVs, Ram 1500 Classic pickups and other Chrysler and Dodge vehicles”

Not sure what “and other Chrysler...vehicles” means but there a potential risk that that could include the Gladiator and Wrangler as well. As was mentioned by another, this will blow over but it’s just a huge inconvenience for those with orders that may have to wait or worse, lose their job for awhile.

Did you try to see if it’s orderable with the 3.6? If it isn’t then that would be a tad concerning. My understanding from what I’ve read is the those “chips” impacting production are in things like the advanced safety group.

Also, the JL/JT are using the older Uconnect system. You might have noticed plants/vehicles with impacts are all using the new Uconnect 5 system. That system has a new processor in it that has been discussed specifically in detail since they announced Uconnect 5 last year. I’d bet the existing JL/JT Uconnect 4 systems have a big of supply built up. The newer system is still spinning up and shortages are highly likely. If Jeep had internally planned to toss Uconnect 5 into the JL/JT I would bet they are busy scrapping that plan in favor of the older system. Can’t imagine them wanting another production shutdown on something they could mitigate.
