Well the long awaited trip and build has commenced. I had installed a BlackVue cam prior to my trip here is what I have done yesterday:
Removed carpet replaced with armalite flooring
Installed carhartt seat covers
Added a rugged ridge hard Rollin bed cover
Short antenna
More to come today!

The other day installed redline hood struts, locking hood latches, rock hard 2” spacer lift and fad skid plate. This morning I dropped off the Jeep to finally have my Magnuson supercharger installed should get it back Wednesday or Thursday.

Interesting, where did you pick up the carpet replacement?
hi, i got it at the following: Jeep Wrangler JK & JL 4-Door Front & Rear Flooring – Armorlite (goarmorlite.com) it completely replaces your factory carpet. for installation, i only loosened the four bolts for the console, snapped the trim panels loose along the bottom of the doors removed the jack, the storage box under back seat as well as the container under seat for the door bolts ext.

i left the seats in, however, you will require some patience and some strength to maneuver the flooring around the edges, it will flex and fold but it takes some effort.

also, i removed the plastic pieces from the factory carpet to install on the replacement flooring, separating the pieces were a pain but i did it with a very small flat tip screwdriver and cut the new flooring holes a tad bigger to fit them in. the one beside the gas pedal was a real pain, but it popped in once it was lined up.

for the floor drain plugs, ensure you remove the factory covers, installing the armalite ones are easer to get flush leaving them closed.

one last note, i had to cut the armalite flooring in the front to be able to slip around the forward outboard mounts of the seats but it sits in nicely once is around it.

hope this helps, if you need any more information let me know.

Dave.

So I have my truck getting work done, the supercharger has been installed but the hold up is HP Tuners, they aren’t even responding to the shop that is doing the work. I understand that covid and other things could be playing a part in all this, has anyone else had issues with HP Tuners? I know they don’t have a number to call. Just asking around.

Quick update, hp tuners finally responded to the shop with tracking, the ecm is out for delivery, so I should be able to get my truck today, it was only a slight delay of 2 to 3 days. Not too bad so no hard feelings.

Well the past few days have been interesting to say the least. Finally got word today ecm installed and mapped driving great so I pick it up tomorrow at 0900.

I had RSG off-road in Denver do the installation, those guys are awesome and we’re very understanding of myschedule issues and the supercharger was installed on Tuesday, today they finally got the ecm and the tune file from HP Tuners.

As stated in earlier post a few days later than expected, however everything is coming together nicely and Ryan and Jason from RSG are some awesome guys, I would recommend them to anyone in the Denver area.

I will let y’all know how the drive back goes with the new supercharger tomorrow:rock:

I would suggest to anyone using HP Tuners give at least 10 days and be patient I believe they are very busy now and a response to emails it seems is right around 48hrs, but other than that no complaints.

Yesterday I got my truck back. I had to adjust how I push the skinny pedal she wants to go. It feels smooth and I stayed mostly in 7th and 8th gear on I 25 from Denver to Pueblo. I’m happy with it so far.

pulled a 2k trailer with it didn’t even notice, once loaded I could feel a little strain but it gets up and goes especially from a stop. I have not had a reason to floor it yet, I’m starting a long haul with it and I’ll let you know how that goes.

Ok a few updates, mounted a rugged ridge spartan bumper and smitty build x20 12k winch, have to adjust a few things before it’s finished pictures soon to follow

As far as the supercharger charger here are my thoughts from pulling on a long haul.

1) had truck weighed empty =5k exact
2) had truck weighed again with most mods installed, trailer loaded = 10,584. So added weight was 5,584.
3) drove 1345 miles one way with various grades a few passes and flat, average mpg was between 11.5 and 12 maintaining a speed of 65mph.
4) never floored it, most was a half push on the pedal, stayed in 3rd gear until about 45 mph at 5,500 rpm.

Would drop to 4th if still on grade, down hill it would hit 7th and 8th gear. On flattish it would go between 6th and 7th gear

If I had momentum already it would only drop to 5th gear on inclines.

5) most torque on Magnuson with current file installed by HP Tuners is between 1st and 4th gear dropping getup in 5th and 6th.

that’s perfect for me since I want the initial punch for getting loads to speed to easily merge into traffic and not take forever after full stops, which worked beautifully by the way. It’s also good for rock crawling and going up steep grades slowly or from a dead stop.

no issues the entire trip. Please feel free to as on anything that I havedone so far.

So here are a few updates:
-Installed rustys skid plates had to modify one corner to fit with belly skid
-installed 4’ fire stick 900 watt tunable tip cb antenna on hood mount
-bullet point phone and go pro mount
-external cb speaker attached to bullet pt mount
-ran a cord from inside the console to steering column for phone so I don’t have cords all over the front by shifter, I can push the cord down when not using it keeps it looking clean.

I have a uniden bearcat 980 cb, will finish install when the mount I have ordered comes in
