So... I’m sitting at the dealership right now. I asked the service rep to please flash my Speedo to match tire size. He says “We can’t do that anymore. There used to be a code for us to do it but it doesn’t exist anymore. You’ll have to get a device and do it yourself.”

Seriously? Uh... ok. I ask him “How many of your Jeep owners keep stock size tires?” ?

Outside of a Tazer Mini, what other devices exist to do this?

Strange. I wonder if that's new, or just that dealership? I asked mine last week when I told them I was putting 35s on, and they said they could do it for $120

What line of work do you do that other people are entitled to at no cost to them?

Doesn't seem like money was the problem, more like incompetence.

You're right, just reread it. Sorry OP, I should read better next time:lipssealed:

Edit to add, Iam pretty cheap and bought the jscan app and connectors to do it myself for less than $75. Pretty easy and its there if you ever need to go back.

Yes, and thank you for the more constructive answer.

The nearest next dealership is 3 hours away. I’m going to have to buy a device to do it myself which is fine, I just don’t really need all the features of a Tazer Mini to adjust my speedo to my tire size.

I used JSCAN, all in all like a $120 invested.

I'll see if I can look up the TSBs that cover that........ yes, there are bulletins about tire size, etc. and calibrating for tire changes.
Heck I asked my dealer if they'd add the code to my VIN for my self-installed passive entry and reflash my system to ensure it was in the flash specific for my truck/VIN.
I expected to pay 50-100 and guess what - they did it for FREE.

I don't know if this one is helpful at all.................

Get JSCAN and an OBD bluetooth adapter and security bypass cable. There's a lot of posts about those here.

I asked my dealer last week beings I was switching from 35"s to 37"s and they said they have to buy the code from Jeep and it would cost me $125. Sounds like they may be using a one time "factory" code at the dealers.. I bought a Taser mini instead and now its done.

Ran into the same issue a month ago with my first oil change. Asked them to do it and they said they were not allowed to do it any more. Literally told me to go buy a Tazer or find a local auto shop to go do it for me. They didn't have a good explanation as to why they weren't allowed to, just that "corporate changed the policy".
