I lied! A few are available NOW at suntop! I want to know if the front can be removed easily with the top rolled up! At least this looks like it would fit behind / under the rear seats.
That's the 1 with bangs I was talking about. I'm not so sure about removing the bang roll in the front. From what I remember on watching their older tops it's not possible, or quick/easy. The website still says request info for me.

Curious if you find it loud with or without the rear window/side corners in.
I had issues with the straps on the insides of side corners vibrating and being noisy and buzzy at times (mostly strong cross winds).
I put a piece of tape on those straps and it stopped the noise/vibrations.
With the top retracted, so window and side corners out. Completely closed up, it's pretty quiet

I requested info yesterday. I still want this top. I think it looks pretty sweet.

I did read that mytopusa will be releasing a soft top for the JT this fall...may have to sell a kidney to buy it and can't find pics of the design but sounds like there will be another option...

I did 3 hours of highway commuting in 90 degree weather with the twill soft top in safari mode but the rear window out and the windows open.

The air flow was fantastic, zero buffeting. The same ride with my hard top would’ve been raucous
Similar to a hard top with freedom panels? If that's the case, think about opening the rear window? I drive like this often, but all windows down/open all the way. No buffeting.

Got ya.
BTW retracted doesn't mean the rear window and corners are out.
I run with the top back (retracted), but the windows and corners still in most of the time as its is SUPER quick and easy.
I rarely bother to pull them unless I remove the top all together.

It looks to me like you need to get out, go around to the back, unclip the straps holding the rear of the roof down, unhook it from the rear window, then roll it up, and reattach the straps up front to hold it in place over the windshield. That's significantly more complex than the factory soft top. Probably also means it's not easily removable from the front either.

You have to admit that the factory top is by far the most convenient solution available.

Yea, When I looked into the Suntop for the Wrangler JL, that is what is involved in rolling it up.
That front retainer bar also gets bolted in place, so you have to unbolt it to remove.
All and all to me it seems more involved and finicky than any Bestop/factory solutions.

To me the only benefit is it can take up less space than the factory top, which might have been good on the Wrangler, but for me is a non-issue with the Gladiator.

Late to the party, but I love my "Premium Black Sunrider Softtop" it was a $500 option and works great!

No problems with excessive wind noise or water. It is quiet "enough" at highway speeds.

I also don't get any buffeting or weird issues, and it's super simple to open or remove.

Here in Houston it rains- like every day for 20 mins or maybe an hour- but the rest of the time its sunny and warm- I miss when I lived in CA and could leave my doors and top off for 6 months straight. But the factory Soft top is awesome because I can open it while seated at a stoplight in about 3 seconds (give it a good push and it opens all the way back) and when it starts raining (i do have to get out to close it) it closes in 5 seconds. I open that thing every single day and ive never had that freedom in anything without an automatic top. I think Bestop did a great job on the engineering because its solid and quiet. That said, I believe Bestop guy was on here saying they cannot make another top for the jeep that is a complete package because of the OEM restrictions.

BTW I usually leave the back window in all the time- never been an issue.
