2022 Rumors?

My salesperson said she was told the same, and that if I wanted a 2022, I probably wouldn’t see it until December-January. But she also said Jeep sometimes says one thing and does another, so I guess nobody knows!

I will say, the idea of the '22 MY not dropping until EOY is hard to believe. Jeep hasn't released a pricing guide since April, and more than one person has reported that silver is unavailable for order.

Taken all together, this does hint that Jeep is winding down production of 2021 models.

Here's hoping '22s arrive much sooner than December.

Sounds like a good trivia question! I know dodge had a few back in the late 90s/ early 00s driven purely by engine availability.

I would honestly be more concerned they would release '2022', then do a 2022.5 later this year after we've given up hope on it.

Different scenario, I know, but when Jeep did the changeover from YJ, to the TJ, they started delivering the TJ as a 1997 Model (in 1996), while the last YJ was a 1995. Anyone that sells you a 1996 Jeep Wrangler has some funny business going on. Pulling model years forward is a market manipulation anyways, and with inflation/supply in question, they will probably put it off as long as they can. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a jump in price for 2022. Sounds crazy, but look around, everyone else is going up! I'll likely be ordering one from Gupton this week unless I can put my hands on a 392.

Another trusted dealership just advised that 2022 will not open until 4th quarter. 2021 being built through November. FML

Humans have been making and using paint for at least the last 100,000 years. I don't know how many microchips it takes to mix up a new batch, but really that's all I want.

I'm going to feel real dumb if MY 2022 brings no significant changes and no new colors, and I just end up with a white one. I mean don't get me wrong - a white JT is sharp, I was just trying to branch out a little bit.

Don’t they sometimes add colors during the MY? I had to wait until August last year to order a JL Sahara in Snazzberry. They may pull that again.
But every manufacturer seems to be feeling the pinch on the microchips. It’s a wonder how they’re making new vehicles at all. I read an article that Ford has enough F150’s waiting for microchips to choke a horse. So I’m wondering if FCA may end up in the same boat eventually.

That would make sense because they discontinued Nacho and started accepting Gecko orders. I remember seeing when the 2021 colors released, Nacho and Gecko replaced Gobi and Gator.
