Man some of y’all’s numbers are pretty low for stock or close to stock.

My stock Sport S w/4.10s is seeing 20.5 mpg mostly highway with a lot of stop and go traffic. I drive pretty fast mostly 70-75, occasionally faster. I see 25 mpg on the current mpg meter very routinely at 65-70 mph.

w/ painted fenders…

Edit:My computer is wayyyyy off I’m pretty sure. I think my MPGs are closer to 18ish

Stock tires? Going by the cluster numbers or real calculated numbers? Have you checked your odometer using an independent GPS app? (not connected to the truck via USB)

Even my stock Overland couldn't do that. Maybe under 65, yes, but not at 70+. It's a bloody BRICK.

Yup stock tires.

I haven’t calculated it myself at the pump but I imagine it’s pretty close…my commute is about 84 miles round trip and I can do 4 full round trips on one tank. That puts me at 420 miles on a 22 gallon tank. Assume there’s 1 gallon left in the tank when I fill up on Thursdays and that puts me at 20 mpg flat.

I guess I forgot to mention that it’s SUPER flat where I live. Anyone living in hilly areas can just forget about MPGs. Just enjoy the ride haha.

Edit: I shouldn’t really say “about 84 miles” for my round trip commute. It’s exactly 84 miles. Sometimes slightly more if I don’t go through the city. Also my math was wrong…84*4=336 miles…NOT 420 so my mpg is trash too ?.

Overland gets about 18.5 doing 70-75 in Nebraska and Kansas - all down hill, LITERALLY, going FROM Colorado to Iowa, an elevation drop of about 2 miles

I’m avg 18 on my stock Mojave. I still have less than a 1000 miles on and mostly in town driving. Hopefully it will get a little better, but even on the highway I don’t see 25 mpg.

and my fenders are not painted.
I was joking about the paint.? During the first few 1000 I did see it get better.

Maybe I read your post wrong but 84X4 =336, not 420. My tank clicks full at 19 gallons with <10 miles of range. You can do the little trickle tap technique w the pump and get another 2.5 gallons, but who wants to take the time to do that.

336/19=17.68 which seems more reasonable…

LOL - I do, but that's the OCD part of me. Dammit it's a 22 gallon tank! It says I have 25 miles left thus I have between 1 and 2 gallons left - it should take 20-20.5 gallons. Mine usually clicks off at about 19 with 25-30 left on the cluster.

I have also found that the cluster MPG average is for my truck about .3 higher than doing the math. That's pretty close, IMO. One was closer than that. I'll have to run a few more tanks through.

Ouch. Is this in 2 High?
Truth is, it's only got 1200 miles on it and 95% of that is neighborhood driving. Hahaha

But yeah, I was certain when I traded in my JKU with 4.56 running 35s, that I'd be getting better mileage. Heh. Nope

I purchased a 21 Willys in May and I'm currently getting 21.2 estimated MPGs. Because I'm now working from home, I haven't been doing that much highway driving so a good portion of it is in-town. I currently have 1800 mile on it. Way better than expected but I'm curious how accurate it actually is.
