Just added JKS swaybar quick disconnects and went offroading for the first time this past weekend. I do have a 2.5" leveling lift on a JT Overland. When I'm going over uneven terrain now with the sway bar disconnected, my wheels rub, not enough to do damage so far, but does sound terrible. How do i prevent that from happening? Getting higher fenders aren't an option at this time; the ones i want are pricey, so need a temporary fix that doesn't break the bank.

That’s what happens. Your axle can now move more without limitations from the sway bar. Wheel offset, lift height, or tire size could mitigate it but disconnected, you’re gonna rub.

Ahhh.... so this is something i should just get used to? Someone mentioned to me about changing my bump stops.

You could extend your bump stops, if the rubbing happens at (or near) full compression. You would be limiting up travel. With the sway bar disconnected, you would still have more down-travel.

Where does it rub, and how bad?

Only seems to rub when one side is high and the other side is low, so when flexing at whatever limitation my fenders cause... It's an overland, so it's lower than the rubicon or mojave fenders. It doesn't cause any noticeable damage, just sounds horrible. Doing a quick search, i didn't see any bump stops yet with varialbe sizes...???

Metal cloak has bump stops that can be stacked, or Clayton’s 3” can be trimmed down to the desired height.

Does it rub on both sides or just one? I agree with the previous questions, and also from the looks of it, the springs appear to be bowing a little which would result in the front axle favoring the one side, making your clearances even less on that side.

If it’s just rubbing the inner fenders a little and not causing damage, get used to it and enjoy the full flex. If you are risking damage, add a little bump stop spacer or longer jounce bumpers (Teraflex, MetalCloak, or Timbrens). You can make 1” spacers with hockey pucks for cheap.

I ended up getting the Metal Cloak bump stop kit with the hockey pucks. Now to install them... I'll also be ordering some new front fenders and liners...thinking of going with the Fishbone tube fenders and liners.
