This post is not a sales pitch or "my lift is better than your lift" or anything of that nature, I just thought I'd post this here in case it could help anyone w a visual representation if they were debating Rubi take-offs and a spacer vs a coil lift that was, on paper, only supposed to be an inch taller.
I had a 2020 Sport and had purchased some Rubicon take-offs along with a 1-1/2" front spacer in the front and a 3/4" spacer in the rear. I probably had about $450-500 into it all total. Overall, I'd say I got about 2 1/2" lift up front and 3/4" in the back. It drove like stock and worked great. It took the rake out and sat nicely but was never happy with how stuffed the tires looked (37" BFG's on 17" wheels). Fast forward a year. Sold the Sting Grey one to Carvana and bought another Sport S. Read through all the posts about which lift was better for A, B or C reasons, which costs the most, etc, etc, etc. I ended up purchasing the RC 3.5" coil lift and Rancho XL9000's (the poor man's adjustable shocks). I actually wanted the RC 3.5" spacer lift but was not happy with the fact that you couldn't get that kit without buying their shocks. I have about $900 into the new lift.
I've just had it on a day so I can't give you the in's and outs of how it drives in all conditions. Overall, it feels pretty normal. Drives just fine up and down the highway, on some rutted, curvy country roads and on normal roads. The biggest difference I feel is not so much the suspension, but rather the change from the stock 245's that came on it to the 37" BFG's. They are, obviously, bouncy-er than the stock tires. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with how everything worked out. I like the stance much better now. Better wheel gap and the lift looks proportional to the tires finally.
