Here is a better shot of it after installation.

Looks great! Thank you. It shows on that link that the fog light covers have grommets installed but yours looks factory. Did it come with what you have on there?

Yes, I just changed out two things.
The red hooks that come with it for my orange Mojave hooks.
I also chose to reuse the factory fog lights so I didn't have to mess with any wiring.

I was actually surprised with the quality and additional parts such as winch plate, additional hooks, fog lights and grille guard given the price point.

This looks great! Do you know how much this bumper weighs??

I don't know exactly, I had the Mopar version on JK Rubi in the past and this is the same weight and almost identical. I was very pleased with the purchase and savings vs. Mopar. I would buy again.

I paid $354 for mine at the time of purchase. The best part of it is the free shipping given the weight/size.

So I am a little confused here. Your link to eBay is for an 07-18 Wrangler JK. If I do a separate search for a steel bumper for a Gladiator is always comes up with a 2018-2020 Wrangler/Gladiator bumper. Are you saying that a bumper for a 2007-2018 Wrangler fits a 2018-202 Wrangler? That doesn't sound right...

JK and JL/JT front bumper are interchangeable. Its the rear bumpers that do not. This was done be design when engineering the JL/JT.

I scored a slightly used JL Rubicon bumper off craigslist, a couple scratches on it but nothing some touch up paint cant fix. I tried trimming the Mojave skid as others have done, but I have *no* idea how this would ever work. I would have to trim off the top 1/2" of the entire skid, as well as the mounting brackets. Fortunately the bumper I got came with the Rubicon skid, and that fit just fine. I liked the look of the Mojave skid but I think this works ok!

So a rubicon steel bumper and skid are a direct bolt on no modifications at all ? If so doing this right away I like the black skid better anyway!!!

were you nervous that the listing was inaccurate? It shows the true jk bumper in the image with the jeep and the bumper specific photos show the JL/JT style
No not at all. I did my research and learned the front bumpers of the JK and JL/JT are the same and are interchangeable.

There was another post some time back of a guy who purchased a used JK steel bumper for his JL, only to find out it wouldn't mount properly on the JL. Supposedly there's an adapter kit out there somewhere that might allow you to mount the JK version on the JL. If you look at the 2 bumpers, the JK version is flat across the top, where the JL version has 2 "bumps" that are raised behind the tow hooks. I can't locate the post, but the OP gave up and was going to buy the version for the JL. Just make sure you know exactly what you're ordering to save some heartache.

UPDATE:

So in this link (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...-s-updated-now-with-happy-ending.19328/page-8), starting in post #114, the poster was able to install the JK bumper on his JL. He had issues with the skid plate though. Not sure why the prior poster I mentioned above had issues.

Interesting information, all I can tell you is it fit mine just fine, no issues. I had read that FCA engineers kept the bumpers (front only) interchangeable between the JK and JL/JT so to keep the aftermarket from having issues having to retool/remanufacture design for the JL/JT with so many options already out there and to defuse any confusion.

"What front bumper will fit the Jeep Wrangler JL?
Answer: A lot of them! The front bumper of a Jeep Wrangler JK will bolt right onto a Jeep Wrangler JL! This opens up so many options for the bumper you could put on the front of your new Jeep Wrangler JL."

After finding the post I quoted above, and after reading yours, this totally makes sense. I couldn't find the original post I mentioned where the OP could not get his to mount up, so I'm not sure what the problem was with his installation. Glad yours was pain free.

thanks for the response. i was referring more towards the two images not showcasing the same bumper more than the fitment question. i dislike the jk version with the flat top but it appears they are shipping the JL/JT version regardless.
