Best of 27.3 MPG on a steady 50km run at 65-75. Cruise control punished MPG on a run as it likes to drop gears to keep steady on inclines.

19-20 mpg and that's pretty steady around town and on the highway. It's Pittsburgh, we have a lot of hills. It will drop to around 17 in the winter.

Stock wheels and tires I was averaging 22 mpg.

Weird. I wonder why a couple of us Rubicon owners are down around 16mpg on 35s when others are 18+ or even 20+? I was averaging 19.1mpg on the stock 33s and could hit 20 or 21 on a tank of all highway driving. I expected a penalty going to 35s but 3mpg is a huge hit for a nominal increase in size.

I’m mostly just around town driving, but maintain it around 19.2 MPG.

On the highway, it is low 20’s.

I just added a Cascadia 4x4 80w solar panel—I’m sort of curious to see if the “smart” alternator will give me back a tiny bit of power/MPG, since it often won’t be working as hard now…

HOW!? do you get this? Diesel? Highway only? Never exceed 30mph?

For awhile is was right around 23mpg but it seems to be going up due to me settling down on the pedal.

Diesel and haven't changed my behavior, I'm pretty aggressive (AutoX & HPDE for years) and work from home. Only highway miles are when we're headed out to camp & wheel. Some folks are getting 27+ on this motor. I suspect I'd be closer to that if my rack/rtt/etc. weren't on full-time. I'm 100% shocked tbh. This is my first diesel. Not many flat/easy stretches here in the Poconos either.

Forgot to mention, I obsess about wheel & tire weight. I'm likely 20lbs per corner lighter than most on 35" tires. For me it isn't MPG, more driving dynamics I'm trying to retain along the way.

knowing its diesel makes me feel better lol - thank you
I contemplated diesel for while but opted out due to up front cost, deisel fuel in my area is always more expensive, and I do 80% short drives. I love the idea of it though.

Makes total sense. DEF isn't cheap given the frequency nor are the 9qts of oil @ $14/per. Sure, cheaper alternatives but yea. Currently the cheapest oil filter (carries its own risk) is $50. The Mopar filter is $110. Jeep wave covers the first 3 changes but that will come and go quickly.

I don't see ANY savings long term in that regard, in fact I'd put money on netting out better at 10mpg on the 3.6 but I didn't get into it thinking I'd be saving anything on running costs. I'm happy that the MPGs help compensate for the diminished tank size.

Sport S diesel with a tonneau cover and using stock 5 spoke aluminum rims. Highway has some minor hills to take into consideration.

245-70-17 @ 70mph = 30mpg
285-70-17 @ 70mph = 26mpg

When I was running on stock 255/70R18 with 3.73 gears. I was averaging around 20-21 mpg.

I went 1" taller and about 3/4" wider to 275/70R18 and now I'm around 17-18 mpg with the same gearing, but updated the tire size in the BCM using JScan.

Don't mean to steer off-topic but how much of a difference/improvement have y'all with Tazers seen when going up to 35s? Trying to decide if it's worth it. I didn't seem to notice a major difference going 33s>35s, maybe half a mpg and can't really notice a power difference, but am curious if people think a tazer is worthwhile.
