More of a poll:
Bumper light bar has me wiring positive direct to the terminal of the battery. Now, not worried about safety as it is fuse protected and goes through a relay. I’m more talking about dead battery.
The switch has a tiny red and green LED for off and on. That won’t kill a battery, but it’s still a draw. Bigger concern is potential to bump the switch and leave them on during daytime and not see them or worse, some malfunction of sorts.
So: anyone wiring to an accessory powered by the key vs always in constant 12V?

the fuse box right next to the battery has a cover with about 4-6 bolts for power distribution. Curious if one of those must be accessory powered that I could go off as an option as well?

What are you’re thoughts?

Just buy a voswitch or an spod? Why even haggle with just one switch? You know youre going to add more accessories down the line.

Did you not get the AUX switches? They can be individually configured to be hot all the time, or only when the truck is on.

I didn’t. I got the overland with every option but that basically.
I have no problem wiring as I have a 12V background way back in the day. More questioning the guides which all say connect to positive lead of the battery. Curious what the long time light users common convention was. Wasn’t sure if I was missing something that you’d want lights on a constant source.

I’ll run it to an accessory because my personal thoughts are the only thing that gets 12V constant is the clock.

Im going to buy the voswitch. I like the full cubby, and honestly have no plans to ever have a use for all those switches, but it looks clean and I like that.
