apps only show up if they’ve been built for car play by the app owners. It does not act like a screen extension to use anything from your phone. So even if I have it on my ipad or my droid phone... I know Im weird like that. It wont show on the 8.4... I thought all the apps were supposed to show up on the screen. Thats why I ordered the damn thing.
And so badge of honor, a vehicle centric app, maybe owned Jeep, has not been built for car play?apps only show up if they’ve been built for car play by the app owners. It does not act like a screen extension to use anything from your phone.

correct. They have to build it in iOS.And so badge of honor, a vehicle centric app, maybe owned Jeep, has not been built for car play?
I think it would be good to have the trail map incorporated in the app, then you could know where to go turn by turn...correct. They have to build it in iOS.
Just curious - what are you wanting to see on it from your car screen?

Take Gaia one step further and get an account with TrailsOffroad.com. TrailsOffroad has partnered with Gaia; they have tons of trails with GPS tracks and great turn by turn descriptions. You can upload these tracks directly to Gaia and then follow/track them on Gaia through CarPlay. We spent 2 weeks in Colorado back in June using those two together and it was pretty slick.Get Gaia.
