The app requires google play services for it's location settings. I do not run anything google on my android phone.

Is there another way to activate location services for the app? I'm about to take a trip to Hidden Falls and I want to be able to get the Badge.

Oh I knew that and was a Android only guy for years. Was just pointing out the humor and complexity of the statement. Not using anything Google with your Android made me laugh.

As soon as I buy a phone, it gets rooted and a non-goog version of android gets installed. The only app I have a location problem with is the BoH app. Everything I install works fine. Even my aircraft navigation works perfectly.

As I former programmer I had my day with phones too but now that I'm older I just need one that works. But I do understand what you are talking about.
