It's crazy how this is being handled by Jeep. They need to issue a TSB spelling out what should be done instead of all these different responses folks are getting. And if a final solution is different then put out another TSB.
In all fairness to Jeep, if there wasn’t social media they wouldn't be getting 10 new axle orders a day LoL

Unfortunately, there is and we are all in the same boat. Mine was fixed on Wednesday and haven’t driven it much yet to see if the leak comes back.

2021- The year of COVID vehicles industry wide.

It is laughable at this point not to have a TSB or acknowledge that this is a growing problem. The past 3 weeks when I have called to check status, the backorder number has grown by around 50 each week. Not to mention the poll sample on another thread here suggests that around 20% of 2021 units built earlier this year have the issue. Certainly there could be some bias in the sample since many people go to car forums to bitch about problems, but I would argue that effect should be largely offset by all the modding enthusiasts active on this site; I think people (myself included) mostly come here to share Jeep product/lifestyle knowledge and get ideas for mods. We aren't talking about a population of minivan owners who mostly don't do anything with their vehicles but drive from point A to B.
Did you file your NHTSA report yet? Axle fluid on brakes is something to be sure to report.

@JeepCares I have sent a PM over this morning.
UPDATE TIME!

It has absolutely astounded me how little Jeep and their dealers communicate with each other. Got a call last night around 5 pm from my dealer saying my Gladiator was ready for pick up. The service advisor said the axle came in Friday morning around 9am and they were able to get it installed and finished up. I asked him why I was just told the night before from Jeep Customer Care it would be another 2 weeks, and he has no clue. They had the tracking the whole time saying it was coming in on Thursday, but arrived Friday. Now I am still going to be in contact with JCC about some other issues that were discussed between them and I, but as of now I have my truck back....finally! I hope that anyone still waiting on theirs will get their Glady's back soon. I know the wait and not having it was not a fun experience.

Forgive my ignorance... I've read more than one post about "topping it off"-are you all adding something somewhere to keep the axle lubricated?

Joining the club. 2021 Willys, 8k miles. Not sure how long this has been going on, just noticed yesterday while installing a hitch receiver. 2 joints deep inside the diff to get to fluid.
Appointment at the dealership tomorrow morning.

my dealer is or at least claims to be. Not a mechanical person in any way at all so maybe it’s not even a thing to do? Lol

You don't need to. It's such a slow leak. Just get it in to have it looked at.

Just a follow up…. I had mine replaced about 200 miles ago. Today I was installing shock mount sliders and noticed fluid on the brake shield. Now I don’t know if they ever cleaned it when they changed it but, I cleaned the shield with some wd-40 and will check after another 200 miles.

Trend seems to indicate a fairly early (manufacturing issue ?) leaking rear axle seal issue, often RR; I have my 2021 Jeep Gladiator on factory order - I am starting to be concerned about this issue. For what it is worth, my 2015 Nissan Frontier Pro4X had a leaking seal on the RR (@120,000 miles -Dana 44 rear axle); dealer blamed a clogged/stuck rear axle breather (on the top of the RR side of the axle) ... claimed that the stuck/clogged breather caused pressure to build up, blowing out the seal. Had to replace the complete axle assembly, out of warranty of course. Could there be a faulty breather issue causing these Jeep Gladiator leaking RR axles ?

Thanks! I'm trying to figure out if this part number is good for max tow options as well. Can't really afford to have no truck for months and only one local dealer will offer a rental for one week.
Yes, mine is a max tow and that is the number on the service order from the first time they replaced it. Still waiting for the part to come in for the second replacement. (first replacement failed already)

Damn sorry to hear that hopefully this one will do the trick. Hoping this isn't going to turn into an issue that continues to repeat.
