Florida man: “-44 offset + 38 inch rubber protects JEEP in HIT & RUN!”

So, my Gladiator was hit by a (poor) Honda Accord while parked on the side of the road; truck was well within the lines. Thankfully, due to the protection of my lovely, low offset wheels and plump 38’s there was zero body damage. Actually no damage of any kind besides the broken wheel and tire that took the full impact at about 35 mph.

And my fiancée said that the $8k in suspension, wheels and tires was “a bad financial decision”. Thanks to this bad investment, the hit and run repairs cost me less than my $1k insurance deductible. Ha!!!!

If you didn’t have the offset wheels the truck might have not even been touched glad nothing more was damaged though lucky

Holy smokes! Glad to see it wasnt too bad. I bet his honda was fooked more than your wheel. So how did you know it was a honda? You see it run?

And the bead un-locked. Several DOT regs violated of which a smart lawyer would point out should there be a trial. I am surprised no one at the insurance company caught them-you know how "they" love to deny any outflow of money from the coffers.

Yeah the shop that did all the work originally (So Flo Jeeps) checked everything out, all is fine and it drives just like it always has. Just had to replace the wheel and tire.

Not going through insurance… repair was less than my deductible.
