What is everyone using to deflate and/or gauge their tires before going off road? Anyone using a cordless tire inflator for after? Pics and reviews too if possible. TIA

Staun deflators and Viair 400p 12v compressor.

Cordless will never get it done. Use a battery tap compressor.

My Stauns are preset to 15psi. Put all 4 on, wait till hissing stops, dead on. Don't buy imitations. Spend 100$ on the Aussie units.

As for a review.....the Stauns take all 4 from 37 to 15 in around 4 minutes.

The Viair 400p takes around 3 minutes per tire to go back to 37 from 15.

You can spend a lot more money on a rad ARB setup that smokes mine. I spent $350 all in deflators and compressor. I'm happy.

4 tire indeflate, and ARB twin. Huge time saver, and when they say you can get all 4 to the same psi at the same time, they mean it. It really makes the process a breeze, and is definitely worth the money.

I use a fasterflate multi tire inflation/ deflation system similar to what others have posted in this thread. Shipping was good as well as it having solid build quality. Ive used a number of compressors on this system (ARB, smity built, maxi trac, etc.)

I have the Up Down Air. Meh. The fittings aren't so great and the hose attachments to the ends aren't so sealed. It's in there for now, but I will probably just take it out.

Ive also been thinking about trying a Hi Pressure Air (HPA) system because I have an HPA compressor.

So to make this official… 37/12.50r17’s

trailhead deflators set for 12 psi
https://www.trailheaddeflators.com/

And a ARB twin under my passenger seat. Takes around 3-4 minutes to air up each tire to 28-30 psi(depends on how I’m feeling) and unknown how long to deflate… I talk to others while deflating.

I sell van parts
I have this portable compressor from extreme outback.

i have some unreliable off brand Staun deflators knockoffs that suck, so I should just buy the real Staun and be done with it.

I removed mine. It's less than meh. Didn't do the job at all. I still have the ARB single compressor installed; debating how I want to use it.

My JT has the Select Tire Fill Alert System.

I use that with this small tool to deflate one tire at a time:

TIRE DEFLATOR + VALVE TOOL - Walmart.com

I am usually the only one doing this so everyone is intrigued when the horn beeps and I walk over to unscrew it and go to the next tire.

To air up I have the Slime Pro Series Dual piston inflator, fast enough so I'm not the last one airing up. One tire at a time using the select tire fill system:

Slime Pro Series

Whenever this one dies I'll upgrade but so far so good. The only time it gave me an issue was when it overheated and shut down on the fourth tire trying to go from 16 to 36 on a 90 plus degree day. After it cooled down it started up again.

I have used this with my stock 32" A/T tires on 18" wheels and with 33" M/T tires on 17" rims.

No plans to go to bigger tires or lockers so I will not need a dual ARB type.
