Well unfortunately I had to cancel my Jeep order on Friday. The dealer tried to go back on his word of giving me $4000 in discounts I qualified for. I walked. Told some friends about it turns out they know someone that is suing the same dealership. BUT i got super lucky, I had to pull over into a gas station parking lot just calm down from our interaction lol while sitting there I decided to see if there were any jeeps locally and I found the exact build I ordered. Same color and all the same options. The only difference was this one had the upgraded wheels and was a new 2021 not 2022. i called the dealer they honored all of my discounts and then some! I can’t recommend Tate Jeep in glenburnie enough. They made the process super easy and quick. I picked up this 21 rubicon ecodiesel this morning!

My guy. I went through Tate also, and people couldnt believe the price they gave me, especially with everything going on with dealer upcharges. Super easy process, very transparent, and the salesman I went through, Donte, kept his word on everything we talked about when I first placed my order.

Glad to hear it wasnt a freak experience on my part!

I...dont know yet. I think I am down to two, and that is the 3.5 Gamechanger from MetalCloak, or the 3.5 Premium from Clayton.
Any reason why you want the premium over the overland plus?

Not at all. I still need to find what the real differences are, and how important those differences are to me and what Ill be doing. I'm just keeping that additional 600 bucks in my head so I'm ready for it if I go that route lol.

Do you have any experience with them?

I bought the overland plus. Seems the premium is for more hardcore off-roaders, the overland plus has their maintenance free bushings.

Yea, but what is hardcore off-roading? Are the Johnny Joint adjusters the only difference? I guess I should see how crazy that 40 degrees of misalignment is.

How long have you had their overland? And what do you think about it?

I guess that depends on what you define hardcore and how often you go, but for a daily driver i know I’ll take the maintenance free bushings. Jk g and g might have explained it a bit in one of their videos installing their overland plus kit. And mine is still sitting in a box lol, waiting for my jtr to ship. Sitting assembled in a lot in Toledo.

Thank you very much! What led you to not purchase there if you don’t mind me asking?
Saw it on Thursday it was sold by Saturday before I could get back.

It depends on what they consider hardcore, is what Im saying...since that is how they are advertising it.

But I think for a daily driver like youre saying, and getting out there AT MOST once a month....i doubt that would warrant a premium.

I finished applying two coats of primer on each side of the bumper. Next up is spraying at least two coats of black Hammered, Krylon Fusion.

Found a set of Arsenal matte black wheels in a size I should be happy with (17x8 5x127 +30mm offset/5.68" backspace). I ordered them today after I called to verify that there were 4 in-stock & was told they are. Website shows out of stock now.

These wheels should look nice. :fingerscrossed:

Second Krylon Fusion coat - done.

Received my wheels today. All 4 boxes had different packaging materials, and the methods used to pack them varied, which is no big deal, but one box is missing both hubcap allen bolts.

I'll make a trip to my local Fastenal/or hardware store to replace the missing HW.
