Great event is OC Jeep week in August. I have done it a few times with my JK and looking forward to going back with my JT.

checkout PA Jeeps - http://PAJeeps.org They have a guided Western MD ride every year and meet up at Rasuch Creek and Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area a half dozen times a year.

Wolf’s Den is supposed to be getting better all the things, but I have not been there yet.

Plenty of dirt roads in the western half of the state.
