I figured we would just camp on trail, but we can see what the group says.

Yep. Maybe I’m in the minority is this respect. . RTT trailer changes the dynamic, but makes for a really nice base camp.

Just to make it easy here is a map I threw together really quick of the trails. Star is a base camp.

Engineer and Cinnamon pass are part of Alpine Loop, I also forgot to include the alpine look connector on the map.

I more meant a route that would allow return to a base camp each night. I wasn’t intending to pull the trailer on the trails for the most part. Even though it’s quite capable with independent A arms, two springs, limiting straps, and 4 shocks, the pace would slow the group.

I say drag it. If we are taking two days and camping up there, you would not slow us down. Really, it's your trailer.
Drop it for Poughkeepsie. I think others should weigh in. The Loop is a long.

Is black bear part of the loop? I wouldn’t want the tight switchbacks.

No. Return to camp after black bear. Alpine Loop is Up from Mineral Point....over Engineer.... Down to Lake City and around to Cinnamon Pass.

This is pulling together into a really nicely planned trip. If everyone downloads Gaia and runs GMRS we should have solid comms and nav set.

This sounds like a pretty epic trip and I’m so tempted to make the trek out from the east coast to join you all.

We got Colorado, Texas and Arizona in the mix. Virginia is welcome too! I got a guest room where you can crash before we depart on Tuesday.
