I've got a taco friend that I usually camp and wheel with who may also want to come, if we are okay with some non jeeps. He owns Lucid Wraps in Denver and wrapped my old sierra and our raptor. Fun. Same situation for me. My “boss” was an easy approval. Getting my wife to agree to watch our kids for a week and take time off herself, that was the fun part. All makes and models welcome, unless they want to use the Toyota Jeep wave.

I got a buddy with a Taco tagging along as well. He just moved back from Michigan so it will be his first experience wheeling in Colorado. He actually thought that Old Stage Road was actual trail ? ?

It was for me as well, until I started realizing what this thing was capable of. Now I just want to drive over rocks. Thankfully asphalt is partially made up of tiny rocks.

Well, in Michigan they call it trailing since that is all they have is forest roads. The first time we took him to the gulches his mind was blown. He has never used a locker in his Taco before. Also, in our group chat he is about only one with Taco. There is always a terrorist truck meme around regarding his Tacoma. He is used to all the Tacoma jokes lol

You’re not kidding. But I might have made it on 37’s with a lift. But probably not. Really deep ruts. I didn’t care that I got stuck it was the under carriage cleaning I didn’t like

I’ll be coming out of Loveland CO I can convoy up or if we have a meet up spot and a time I can just meet where ever we start at.

I might be able to join. Won’t know till a couple weeks before. Coming from TX I’d go alamosa, gunnison and for fun, head into the dirt at Cimarron and go owl creek pass to ridgeway.

PS fantastic camping in West Fork (by owl creek pass) parts of true grit were filmed there. It’s about 10mi as the crow flies from ouray. Or, 40min drive.
Only locals, no tourists. Guess I’m not local anymore since we sold the house there.
