I picked up the Terra Flex 1.5 kit this week in hopes to accomplish a few things. First reduce the awful bottoming out. And second maintain some rake because I often tow my custom off road camper. I decided on only using the 1” spacer and opted out of the 1” bump stop extension.

Overall the project is a success. I tested the truck on a rain gutter I frequently bottom out on at 25mph. I took it at 32mph today and no bottoming. I also loaded my hitch with my trailer that has about a 300lb tounge weight and I still have about a 1-3/8” rake front to back at the factory sliders.

About my truck; it’s a 2021 rubicon ecoD with factory steel bumper. I removed the bumper wings, installed a warn winch plate and a Warn 10s winch. That’s the most weight . I also have a soft topper that probably weighs 30lbs on the bed. Also, I’m already running 315s(35s) on 17” rims with -18offset
Below are the numbers and some wrench time photos. Also TY @OrangeTJ for the tips.

The trailer photo looks deceiving. My driveway is pitched and the Rubi front fenders are taller than the rear but the ground to slider front to back shows an 1-3/8” rake.

I did the same until I could settle on a lift. It removed 90% of the bottoming out and softened most of the rest.

Glad I have a lift in place now.

PS: For those who go this route, you don't need control arms or even a track bar. The only adjustment you'll need is to barely re center the steering wheel.

My Ecodiesel Sport S bottomed horribly even with the 1.5” front spacer kit.
Tried switching to the Ecodiesel Rubicon shocks and it made it worse, Arcus front bumper and winch are in place which added to the effect I‘m sure.
Moved to the Mopar 2” Diesel lift and its night and day in ride quality. Even though I only lifted the front. It sits 3/8” higher in the rear with stock components in place, except for Rubi shocks.

When you installed the 1.5 spacer, did you also install the 1” bump stop extensions? Seems to me they should have provided a .5” extension as an option for those installing the full 1.5 spacer.
If you did, the way I look at it is you loose 1/2” from the extra weight . Then you add the 1” bump stop extension. Effectively your 1.5” spacer was cancelled. Just a thought.

Skyjacker 3.5"/ 2" gas leveling lift. (I have a diesel but wanted more "give.")
I bought it out of convenience (not that I have an issue with their product.) I'm convinced as far as 99% of Jeep owners are concerned, all lift brands will serve their purpose, so much of forum analysis is really just brand identity.

The set came with adjustable reservoir shocks (which is what I was really after.) Then I added ¾" Daystar spacers to the rear because I like rake and keep a bed full of tools. I did NOT reinstall the 1" Teraflex spacers up front.

The lift came with springs, fixed, extended length lower front control arms, link ends, bump stop extensions, and a front track bar. The front bump stops put the uptravel back to factory 2" (no no) so I cut them to have about 3½" of uptravel while making sure the shocks won't bottom out first.

The ride is great. Not loose or tight at any speed. It needs the front adjustable track bar as the lift threw the front end over at least an inch maybe more. I bought a rear adjustable track bar but haven't installed yet as the offset is negligible.
Instead of rear upper control arms I installed a ¾" driveshaft carrier bearing spacer to sort out that angle. Neither axles look uncentered in the wheel well as to "need" extending the control arms so I didn't bother. I do light wheeling on sand/ hill trails in Florida and the factory CAs look up to the task.

In all the pics, the bed has between 200-300lbs of tools and equipment and still maintains 2" lift over the front.

If anybody requires extra of the bump stops or spacers of any kind let me know. I ended up receiving a whole lotta extras I did not need when trying to put my ST4 together piecemeal. They charge quite a premium for them I can hook you up.

Thanks. I’m trying to do some research to see if my left over 1/2” coil spacer will fit my wife’s JL wrangler. If not, I can give them to my dog ?

22' JTRD with 1.5" spacers I used Fox 2-3 shocks in front and FOX 2-3" JKS spec ion rear (28") no bump stops front or back needed. Added more useable flex in the front by 30% and 25% in the rear.
photos are with 1" bumps. 2-3 Fox are

I tried it both ways, with the spacer and without. Spring rate on the stock springs after about 15K miles anyway was so weak it would blow through the travel and still bottom out. Bought the MetalCloak bump stops thinking they’d be able to soften things up as they are marketed as a progressive bump stop of sorts. They were awful in the cold, rock hard. Said to hell with it and bought the Mopar 2” Diesel lift.

This is good to hear. I plan on doing the same too when I get my rubicon take off parts. Also plan on running the metalcloak durospring bump stops front and rear. I have them on my Tj and really like them.

Maybe the falcon extended bump stops then? Never heard about that issue with the metalcloak bump stops and never experienced it on my tj.

Ive thought about going with the Mopar 2 inch lift and not using the rear springs because I dont want all that rake. Do the rear shocks work fine without the rear springs?

I too prefer a more level stance, maybe slightly rear high. I haven’t installed them yet but plan to try them with the 3/4” spacer that’s inbound. Currently have rear JT Rubicon Diesel shocks in place in back. I also have Timbren overloads in the hind end so I bet the Mopar 2” shocks will be fine.
If for some reason they don’t jive, I’m happy to keep the Rubi shocks back there as it rides and handles great in it’s current configuration. In retrospect I shouldve tried to piece meal the Mopar 2” kit but not sure if that’s an option.
