What is the purpose of two shocks and what is the use case for that type of setup, the shocks look pretty specialized with the reservoirs and tubes to provide different rates at different parts of the stroke? I am assuming it is for high speed desert running?

It certainly can be used for high speed racing. I chose this suspension for multiple reasons but high speed racing was not on my list. First being I always wanted to have one. The ride both on and off road is much smoother. The amount of travel allowed by this suspension is very impressive. The suspension height is adjustable from apx 2.5 -6. I am only looking for a true 2.5-3", but after I am completed with all the accessories, weight, loaded trailer, dual winches and diesel motor etc, we will be able to adjust the height to what we want and level out the truck as much as we need. Mostly quality of components and longevity. This style of suspension is a first for me, so this has been a lot of fun so far and I hope it turns out to be awesome.

I have other vehicles, so hopefully I can avoid most of the salt days up here. In a couple years we plan on spending the cold months touring with the Jeep and trailer down south and west, so we really can avoid the white stuff then.

The Black Sheep Tailgate box is complete and a couple more pics of the front with the fender liners re-installed.

DV8 tire rack installed.

ARB onboard air installed in the bed. Updown air system installed with ports in each wheel well. New power contacts to the back for the Air system and rear winch.

Hooking up the side lights on the rack system and mounted the paint matched 4 place fly rod holder.

Coming to the final touches and adjustments of round one. Evo Double throw Down long arm suspension, Tires and wheels, Diff Covers, Teraflex Steering Stabilizer, DV8 rear bed tire carrier, ARB air compressor and Updown air system, EVo Bump stops, ZroadZ rack system, Synergy Steering system, Metal Cloak Skid plates, Blacksheep tailgate compartment. We are going to go through alignment and programming and drive it for a couple weeks to be able to make any adjustments. Round 2 should begin in a couple weeks and will include rock rail /steps, front and rear bumpers both with winches as well as an addl roof rack for over the cab. Lots of other accessories and such, but those are the big items. Researching electronics now for round 3..

Have been a bit busy waiting for parts, but things started moving again. Installed some fender flare extensions, a Carmount phone holder so the placement of my phone does not block access to any of the controls on the dash, and installed and wired some rock lights in the three panels that open in the Roadz roof rack. When the black sheep tailgate compartment is open, it blocks the light coming from the bed lights, so we mounted some above so they shoot down onto the tailgate. Finally going to get to bumpers, winches and slider steps in two weeks. Everything on order has arrived.

Installed the front DV8 roof rack today and mounted a shovel and fire extinguisher.

Lots of fun stuff happening this week. First is a new front bumper, Warn Winch, front skid plate and light bar.
